    CDC #167 Shakespeare – April 29, 2016

I would be sorely amiss not to do a satyr

    Thou speak’st aright;
I am that merry wanderer of the night.
I jest to Oberon and make him smile
When I a fat and bean-fed horse beguile,
Neighing in likeness of a filly foal:
And sometime lurk I in a gossip’s bowl,
In very likeness of a roasted crab,
And when she drinks, against her lips I bob
And on her wither’d dewlap pour the ale.
The wisest aunt, telling the saddest tale,
    Sometime for three-foot stool mistaketh me;
Then slip I from her bum, down topples she,
    And ‘tailor’ cries, and falls into a cough;
And then the whole quire hold their hips and laugh,
And waxen in their mirth and neeze and swear
A merrier hour was never wasted there.

    If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber’d here
    While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
    Gentles, do not reprehend:
If you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
    If we have unearned luck
Now to ‘scape the serpent’s tongue,
    We will make amends ere long;
    Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
    And Robin shall restore amends.

    I don’t usually tweak during a contest but …
I added some foreground and additional background foliage to my the forest look more primal.
You can judge which ever one ya like best.
so once again here is Puck/Robin Goodfellow from A Midsummer Night’s Dream

    JR – May 1, 2016
“I know I don’t usually say anything in these anymore, but I have to acknowledge the quality of the entries for this weeks contest. There were at least 5 that could have won the contest and a couple more that could have been honourable mentions. However, there can only be one winner. So here are the four others that could have won (to save space I’ll put links to their entries in each persons name).
Honourable Mentions: Brons, Superfly30, Candruth, djuby
    Winner: Cliff- Puck”

He’s been my desktop since my win. 🙂

    CDC ALIEN(N)ATION ♯161- March 19, 2016

    Entry #1
Created for a Star Trek game we played. I had a Medical Officer who was an Atlantiadian.

Atlantiadian is an arboreal world similar to Sherwood Forest, Winath (Legion of Super Heroes)
Kashyyyk or the Forest Moon of Endor (Star Wars)

Atlantiadians are a Hermaphroditic race with only one androgynous gender.

Here is Ambassador Rin SoLon (almost all of Atlantiadian names are a one syllable first name followed by a two syllable second name with the first and Second syllable capitalized)and a poor orphaned urchin.

    Entry #2

(I realize my first Entry may be too human looking, This is a more alien race I came up with for a RPG of egion of Super Heroes (DC by Mayfair) we played quite a while back. Nimbus was the Character name, not the race name back then. I never really focused on the race. This gave me the opportunity to.)

    Nimbus

    NICKNAMES:
    Will-O’-The-Wisp
    Willy the Whisp
    Willow Wisp
    Whisperers
    Fairy Fire
    Spook-Light
    Ghost-Lights

    APPEARANCE
An entity resembling a floating ball of light that can emit light from pulses to blasts

    COMMUNICATION
can talk through morse code like flashes, humans who spend time and get to know Nimbi seem to gain an understanding telepathy with them.

    DIETARY
Nimbi eat and heal through energy absorption of sunlight and starlight

    DEFENSE/OFFENSE
    No material body
are suject to some types of energy protect themselves or others close to them with stunning, searing or damaging blasts

    GENDER
there seems to be no discernble gender, and Nimbi themselves declare there is not. But some mult-gender races such as humans swear that some that they identify as male glow blue, while “female” have a slight purple tinge to them as if pink is added, this seems to be a myth though.

    REPRODUCTION
two Nimbi court though a beautiful areal dance
spiraling around each other, drawing in toward one another they send pulses of light into one another, until one pleys the receptive roll absorbing the energy from the projective one. eventually there is a build up of energy untill there is an overload and a small explosion produces a smaller eaker Nimbus.

    AGE
A young Nimbus is smaller than an adult and seems to have a number of flashes points for the solar year of it’s ageas they grow to maturity they grow to their maximum size and brilliance as they mature into old age they continue to age flash points, but begin to dim in brilliance and size.

(I have some more I came up with today, but don’t have time to type it yp here, and I suppose this is enough, so I might post the rest here on Cliff’s Eclectic Mayhem later)

POP QUIZ NAWLINS  February 28, 2016

    Krewe
Tends to appear around the time of Mardi Gras,
he is a splitter, he can split into 3 identicle selves, except the copies are the other two Mardi Gras colors even to the sheen of their skin, and each of those other two selves can even split into 2 other selves as can those two copies ad infinitum. Krewe is always in tune with his other selves, and they are accomplished acrobats using their skills to save those in danger on the crime ridden streets during the joyous festival.

I now notice the Gold arms are UNDER Green’s belt.Opps

    CDC #156 MAPS – February 8, 2016

I realize you mentioned bigger scale, but what about a somewhat smaller scale. This is the house and garden shed of our CHILL (Horror/Rock & Roll) game set in London in 1972. The Casey/McDonald household
I think it shows how versatile the program can be, not just making people, but great for GMs illustrating their scenes as well.

    CDC #155 TATTOO – February 3, 2016

I’ve got a story in my head how this yakuza’s first kill was the patron and lover of a famous geisha and she threw herself off a cliff above a turbulent sea on a moonlit night.
She had a fan of mourning doves, and a kimono of Cherry Blossoms (representing fallen warriors of course).
Unfortunately I don’t have names yet.

    Entry #2  February 3, 2016

My vampire poetry book is going through a second print, and I wanted

something more homoerotic this time, so came up with this.

We went another direction eventually, but I still like this one too.

    CDC #154 ON TV – January 25, 2016

I admit I did the room and all befor I had a clue about the tv program. but I eneded up with all these nature elements showing our viewer was into animals and nature with his zebra stripe sofa, the companionable cat, landscape painting, leopard print drapes, the plant, the horse statue, I < 3 Tiger mug with perpetual stain under it

(although he is a bit cruel to the poor goldfish in the too small bowl) so I went with a winged hero … showing lots of skin of course.I actually knew a guy named Byrd too

    CDC #153 BUILDINGS – January 23, 2016

You may have heard of my Satyr bard Philander a while back, this is his Bardic College. It’s an octagon with a towers and a gold dome.
There is even a tiny Philander satyr on the closest bank,, along with a fox and several birds in and around the tree
That was a pretty wild advernture. It was my birthday spotlight game in 2011.
One of the odd things about the college. it is of alien origin, and was on an asteroid, in a Spelljammer adventure, we were fighting some villains who had discovered a song to bring the powerful alien Gonn who were musical spheres of great power and intelligence. Philander was able to play a song of warning to the Gonn about the villains intent to control and use them for destruction. The villains were vanquished by our party and Philander ended up communicating with the Gonn in song and ended up with the now unused college as a thank you from the Gonn complete with the asteroid being carefully plunked down on our planet.
There was a catastrophic event (all three DMs desided to fuse their game worlds together and the three planets breached a dimensional rift and collided) so when Philanders Bardic College set down, his was the only remaining one, the only seat of music training. Many people flocked to his college and the surrounding lands.
