Glad you like it! I really wanted more energy coming from his chest but couldn’t figure out anything that I liked, so I just went with what you see. The turquoise-y colors give a nice eerie feeling and the bright red gives the whole picture an unstable quality since it doesn’t seem to fit.

Recent events in Sumina have awaken an ancient evil, banished long ago by the first wielder of the golden power. Dagon the Unliving has risen and desires to regain his lost kingdom.

I tried adding some texture to go with the shading which I think turned out well. I’m not sure I completely like the armor, especially in the crotch area, but I’ve never been that great with guys. I went for a scarier looking villain this time around, and think I got it. I’ll be switching back and forth between this and my regular thread with some more Red Bat, including a crossover (a certain golden warrior will be turning up to team up with Red Bat).

Here is St. Sapphire’s sister, Dr. Emily Silver, long before the days of Metal Streak:

BIO:
When Emily Silver was young, her sister saved her from a fire which left her with sever burns over much of her body and one less arm. As she grew older, Dr. Silver constructed a new arm that has several attachments including the blow torch you see above. She also wears a body suit to hide her scars and has a fear of confined spaces due to her trauma. Dr. Silver designed St. Sapphire’s suit and has made great advancements in nano-technology.

With the combined might of Kentu, Metal Queen, Nimu and their fellow warriors, the forces of EarthRealm we pushed back to their dimension. Immediately following the battle, Nimu vanished to which the fairies explained that she left to fight another threat to the Golden Land. Soon after, Kentu and Metal Queen transcended beyond Sumina, never to be seen again. And far away from the known lands, a new darkness gathered strength.

Coming in 2014: Darker Villians! Shinier Heroes! Sexier Redesigns! And a tie-in to Red Bat, of course.

Okay, I really didn’t think you could top the rainbow sword, especially with a black sword, but you did it. That is hands down one of the best creations I’ve ever seen on HM.

Those last two mechs are absolutely amazing! Your lighting is second to none.

I originally was making this for Kaldath’s Shock Girl redesign contest but didn’t have time to finish, so I changed her into a sidekick for Red Bat. You’ll notice I was just a little inspired by Stargirl. Meet Spark:

BIO:
Sally Sparks, daughter of famous archeologist Donald Sparks, was rummaging through her dad’s warehouse and happened upon a strange staff. When she touched it, the staff came alive and electricity jolted her body. In that moment she learned that she’d stumbled on the ancient rod of Zeus, and she had been granted it’s abilities when she wielded it. Obviously she could throw powerful lightning bolts and fly, but she could also travel at the speed of light to any destination (as long as she knew where it was) and it protected her from physical harm while increasing her strenght. Because Dr. Silver was a friend of the family, she asked Red Bat to train her to be hero (mainly to keep Sally out of trouble).

I hope the coloring came out okay since I did most on my laptop. If it didn’t, I’ll fix it when I get on a better computer.
