CantDrawParticipantAnd here’s the leader of Shadow Sanction, The Suit.
BIO:
Cassandra Walls was given a super suit by aliens and told she was part of a greater corps from across the galaxy. She was assigned to protect Earth from global and intergalactic threats. The suit provided whatever power she needed to accomplish the task from super-strength and invulnerability to flight, invisibility and super-vision.
Over time she noticed she would black out and not remember what she had done in the suit. Fortunately, the suit “woke up” her dormant, innate ability for precognition. With it she discovered the aliens true agenda. If she continued on her path, they would use her to take over the planet. Knowing that the blackouts were caused by the aliens taking control, in seconds she found the ship invisibly orbiting the planet and killed everyone on board. Painfully, she last part of a leg in the process.
With the help of Dr. Silver, she was fitted with an artificial leg. She then took over the alien ship and used it’s technology to erase her existence as a superhero with the exception of a select few. Cassandra now uses it as the Shadow Sanction’s base of operations.
What the team doesn’t know is the she brought these five extremely powerful heroes together because she has seen two possible futures for each, one dark and one light. If anyone of the go dark, it could be the end of everything. She hopes to guide them down the right path while protecting the planet at the same time.Attachments:

CantDrawParticipantAnother member of the team, Starlight.
BIO:
Femora and Anna Cosmic are the children of Emperor Cosmic, ruler of the Milky Way Galaxy, which is far in the future. The Cosmic royal line only produces male heirs so they must marry women from other planets to procreate. But every thousand years a daughter is born who inherits the Cosmic Light, the most powerful force in the galaxy. What made this birth more special is that twin daughters were born, but only Anna received the power. Femora, ever the loving sister, went on to demonstrate special abilities, as well – her intelligence and athletic ability being surpassed by none. Since Anna has the Cosmic Light, she has been pampered most of her life and can be very selfish, except in the presence of her sister, Anna, whom she loves very much.Did I mention Femora? Hmm…I think I see a redesign in the near future. Also, this completes the primary team for Shadow Sanction, except for the leader.

CantDrawParticipantCool! It looks like everything is working for me, so let’s get down to business. Back to Shadow Sanction and the next member of the team, Winterforge.
BIO:
Created before recorded history when magic reigned supreme as a weapon against her master’s enemies, “Winter” rebelled against her master. In a fit of rage, she covered the surrounding lands in ice. Sorrowful for what she had done, Winter cocooned herself in ice and slept until modern times until she was discovered deep within Antarctica. Unbeknownst to the team, and possibly to herself, she was once human, but was used as a host for the Winterforge entity. Intertwined psychically, Winter exhibits multiple personalities from whimsical to stone-cold killer to frozen by fear.To create this character, I look at a lot of images of blue ice. I think I did decent job of capturing the ice effect, well. Tell me what you think.

CantDrawParticipantWow! It’s been more than a month since the last post, so I’ll start by responding to Mad Jack. Don’t worry, there’s more skin, er…I mean, characters to come. I have three to upload now but I’m waiting to see how the forums run first before I start posting.
CantDrawParticipantThat skydive pic is amazing!
CantDrawParticipantI love it!
CantDrawParticipantFreakin’ awesome! That is astounding!
CantDrawParticipantI can’t stop laughing! That is awesome!
CantDrawParticipantNext Shadow Sanction member, Cyber-6:
BIO:
“Six”, as she is nicknamed, is a cyborg from an alternate-Earth where technology is more advanced. Tech allows her to read body language and facial expressions at super-speeds which gives her a fighting edge and makes it practically impossible for her to be hit. Six has the strength and speed of a metal-human hybrid and can override any current technology. The “suit†allows her to fly and shoot energy beams from her hands. Unbeknownst to the team she isn’t a cyborg at all but is instead an extremely dangerous prisoner locked in a rehabilitation suit while in a dream-like state. She can see what is happening but the cyber-matrix controls her actions. How and why she came to our dimension is still a mystery.
CantDrawParticipantI’m with JR, we’d love to have you on Deviant. I like seeing how many people look at my stuff. Also, I get a lot of ideas from there. Almost forgot, the other advantage to Deviant is that you can post fan-art, which can’t be done here.
CantDrawParticipantIf my face looked like his, my jaw not only would have fallen off after looking at this; I probably would have kicked it a few times trying to pick it up in a hurry to see it again. Then I would have repeated the entire process…twice. In other words…The Retorter freakin’ rocks!!
CantDrawParticipantThose last two pictures are really great! Excellent detail work.
CantDrawParticipantThat…is…too…awesome!! I love the colors and the design is so unique.
CantDrawParticipantEvery character on the previous page looked fantastic! Great job on the details.

CantDrawParticipantI’m not usually one to enter these discussions, but I’m a fan of both stories. The idea of a nerd-ish boy becoming a wizard is pretty standard (Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, etc.). Assuming that she’s into comics, it wouldn’t surprise me that the idea of an English boy with glasses becoming a wizard could have come from BoM, but that’s pretty much were the similarities end (although, I don’t remember Tim’s childhood – it’s been a long time since I read it).
The themes of both stories are very different, as well as the mythology. Also, their characters develop along different paths. Gaiman deals more in archetypes, Rowling is more character-driven. Gaiman is anti-Western/post-modern literature, Rowling is pro-Western literature. Of course, since I’m more about characters, I enjoy the Harry Potter series far more than BoM. In fact, out of my top seven list of stories, I only have one that would classify as archetypal and it’s not one of Gaiman’s.
What’s funny is that I never hear anyone complain that Gaiman borrow’s characters that he didn’t create from DC Comics, as well as other places, into his stories. Not that I’m complaining either, but if it’s going to be said of Rowling, then it needs to be said of Gaiman, too.
