Blue BlazerParticipantAlias: All-American
Real Name: Jack Martin
Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: expert boxer, melee fighter, wrestler
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: bulletproof plates in costume
Affiliations: U.S. Army; Hero Corps
Other Aliases: Johnny American
Status: deceased
Bio:
Jack fought alongside and was the closest friend of Private Jonathan Lee in the U.S. Army in WWII. The two were almost inseparable, and came to trust each other with their very lives, fighting with an uncanny mental connection against the forces of the Axis. When Private Lee discovered he had amazing superpowers and was made into the hero Mr. Ultimate, he insisted that his best friend join him when the government first created the Hero Corps. Given the ultimatum, the President begrudgingly accepted, and Jack was given the codename Johnny American. He was the only non-superhuman member of the team, and knowing he was only in it because of Mr. Ultimate caused some disdain and contempt within him.
Â
But rather than let these feelings cause a rift between him and his pal, Jack decided to do something about it. He threw himself into combat training, mastering many forms of close combat, and proved himself to be able to hold his own quite well. On one particular occasion, when the Hero Corps had been captured and somehow temporarily de-powered by the nefarious villain Diminion, Jack suddenly became the most powerful, as the other members had come to rely so heavily upon their superpowers. He single-handedly neutralized Dominion and saved his team. It was at this point that he truly became accepted as a national hero, and shed his rather boyish codename for a new one: All-American. He fought alongside the Hero Corps into the mid-1960’s, when he was killed by the Neo-Nazi super-terrorist Unsterblich.

Blue BlazerParticipantAlias: The Alchemist
Real Name: Reynolds Lawson
Genre: Supervillain
Powers/Special Skills: Can turn any substance into gold with a touch; metal seems to conduct this power, thus touching an object or person with a piece of metal can also turn it to gold
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none
Affiliations: The Network, The Sinister Society
Past Aliases: Midas
Status: at large
Bio:
Reynolds didn’t come to discover his power until his mid-thirties, in the golden age, married and a father of two young children. It happened late one night after he had spent a little too much time at a bar on his way home from work. He came home late, an act he had done repeatedly within that year. His wife finally said she’d had it with his drinking and being away from home. She started packing, and Reynolds grabbed her. In his heightened emotional state and inebriation, his powers suddenly activated and when he pulled his hand away his wife was a statue of gold. He screamed in terror, trying to take back what he had done, and awakened his children. They came running in and, to comfort them, he kneeled down and hugged them in his arms. He had already forgotten his curse. The Reynolds children were turned into gold as well and Reynolds, in a fit on insanity, ran from his house, never to return.
The grief over his family drove him to psychosis, darkened his mind, and turned him to the world of evil. He became the villain Midas, terrorizing the streets of the city. A dark group known as the Network recruited him and he worked with them on occasion until he was confronted by the hero Mr. Ultimate. After a great battle, Midas was captured and given a serum to suppress his mutant power.
He lay in a coma for 35 years, and, unbeknownst to the staff at the Superhuman Containment Facility, the extended sleep was only charging Midas’s power higher and higher. Three years ago, he escaped in an amazing feat in which he turned the entire building into an edifice of gold, including all of the equipment and employees. The act depleted him of his excess power and he is now back to where he was 35 years ago. Now an old man, he has changed his style and name, now going by the Alchemist. He sought revenge on Mr. Ultimate only to find that the hero had died. But he had left his powers to his only son, and to the Alchemist, one is as good as the other. He has joined forces with the Sinister Society in order to find this man and to aid them in world domination.
Those who have never met the Alchemist or don’t know his story often wonder why he does not simply turn enough things into gold to make himself rich and live out the rest of his life in ease and comfort. But the Alchemist cares nothing for monetary gain. He lives for revenge and guilt, the only two emotions he’s felt in almost 40 years.Â

Blue BlazerParticipantAlias: Albion
Real Name: Dan Ramsey
Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: super strength; nigh-invulnerability
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: Magical sword and shield
Affiliations: The Round Table; Her Majesty’s League of Heroes; Hero Corps: London
Other Aliases: King Arthur
Status: active
Bio:
Daniel Ramsey awoke in the middle of Stonehenge around the age of sixteen with no memory of his life until that moment. On the ground beside him lay two items – a golden-hilted sword and a shield bearing the crest of King Richard the Lionheart. Completely confused and terrified, Dan grabbed the two items and made his way across the English countryside, ending up in London. He stashed the sword and shield in an abandoned building and found the local orphanage. He was a quiet, handsome young man, and it wasn’t long before the Ramseys adopted them into their home. Though they were loving parents, Dan could never shake the feeling that he belonged elsewhere, and he was ever curious as to his previous life. On his eighteenth birthday, Dan again found the sword and shield. In the dusty, empty warehouse, he began to teach himself to use them, but suddenly discovered that there was more than steel in these items. When holding the sword, Dan found that he achieved instant super strength, and when holding the shield he was resistant to most injury. Also, he became aware that these two objects were made of some sort of unbreakable metal, one that could cut through any material he slashed or stabbed.
Â
With this new power at his fingertips, Dan began to prowl the streets, stopping in-progress crimes. He began to call the sword Excalibur, after the legendary king, and the shield Lionheart, after the monarch who bore its symbol. He secretly fashioned himself a war helm of steel and a suit of armor, and sightings began to be reported of the strange knight who thwarted would-be criminals at night. He was finally caught up to by Agent Merlin, an agent of the English government, who offered the young man a position on the newly conceived team called the Round Table.
Â
Tests conducted on Excalibur and Lionheart revealed that they were composed of ultranium, an incredibly rare metal found virtually nowhere on Earth. The magical properties, however, could not be explained. Because he seemed to show the most strength and proficiency, Dan was made the leader of the Round Table and given the code name King Arthur. During his time in this persona, a group of people began to believe that he was actually the next incarnation of Arthur Pendragon, and they formed a cult called the Order of the Second. Despite Dan’s refusals that he was the second coming of the mythical king, the Order continued to worship him as a religious icon.
Â
The Round Table became an efficient force for good across the United Kingdom until they were disbanded by Prime Minister William Hawthorne, who was secretly affiliated with the nefarious Fourth Reich. After Hawthorne’s treachery was discovered, Dan was asked to join Her Majesty’s League of Heroes, a team of superheroes hand-picked by the queen herself. Dan finally changed his alias to Albion, and served on the League for a few years. But he knew he was a born leader and strategist, and not being in charge caused a rift between him and some of the League’s other members. After talks with Parliament, Dan was put in charge of the British version of the Hero Corps.

Blue BlazerParticipantName: Ajax
Genre: Warrior
Powers/Special Skills: unparalleled melee fighter
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: Champion’s Armor; dual Blastaffs
Affiliations: Kingdom of Troia (Planet Korodan)
Other Aliases: Ryzar’s Guardian
Status: active
Bio:
On the planet Korodan there is a sprawling kingdom called Troia. This realm has grown rich over the centuries because it is one of the few places on Korodan where the incredibly potent magic mineral called Aegite exists in large quantities. Although Troia happily trades this rock to any other kingdoms on the planet, there are still those who would take it by force. Therefore, it was deemed necessary long ago that one man would be chosen every 30 years to receive the training to become the overall champion of Troia and its chief soldier. This tradition arose from the observance that every three decades, a child was born with a birthmark resembling the legendary Eye of Ryzar, an artifact lost in the deserts bordering Troia to the south. This is the child who is given, from the day he is born, the education of a warrior. Ajax is the current of these fabled soldiers, and he does not disappoint. He is the only person in Troia allowed to don the Champion’s Armor, a suit that combines mechanics and magic to turn the already formidable fighter into an unstoppable force.

Blue BlazerParticipantAlias: Airman
Real Name: Grant Brewster
Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: none
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: rocket-propelled boots; artificial wings
Affiliations: U.S. Government
Other Aliases: none
Status: retired
Bio:
The very concept of Airman was developed by the federal government in an attempt to rally support by Americans of the Vietnam War. They wanted to create an icon that represented American courage, justice, strength, and fairness. Aging, nearly forgotten Hollywood actor Grant Brewster was hired to portray the hero, who flew into action over cities foreign and domestic. Bogus footage of Airman fighting Viet Cong soldiers aired on every news channel, his masked face was plastered on posters across the nation, and made grinning appearances before crowds. All in all, the persona of Airman did little to improve American patriotism. However, people seemed to like Airman and so when the war finally ended, Grant was given the chance to continue on as Airman, but as a true hero instead of just as a phony figurehead. He happily agreed, and fought evil the world over in the name of the U.S. for many years, until he finally became simply too old to continue. He hung up his rocket boots and wings and retired to the tropical town of Crescent, where he lives to this day.

Powers/Special Skills: communication with the Aztec god Tonatiuh
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: the winged battle armor of Tonatiuh
Affiliations: Aztec pantheon
Other Aliases: none
Status: active
Bio:
Until the day that changed his life forever, Vincente assumed he was just another face in the crowd. He was a Mexican immigrant living in the city of Rosewood in southwest America, working day in and day out at a textile plant. But one night he was visited in his dreams by a regal figure clad in shining bird-shaped armor. This man explained that he was the Aztec warrior god Tonatiuh. Tonatiuh was a sun god associated with eagles, and had been in close contact with the ancient Aztec emperor Moctezuma II in the 16th century. Vincente, as the god explained, was the last living descendant of Moctezuma II, and was therefore also worthy of communication with Tonatiuh. When the old mythology of Mexico fell, its deities retreated into amulets, wherein their powers were stored until a champion could arise who would wield each one.
Â
When Vincente awoke, he found that he was wearing one of these amulets. From then on, he could speak with Tonatiuh in his mind, and when faced with great danger, the amulet would unfold and form around him the armor of the warrior god, complete with steel wings. The armor also enables Vincente to fire blasts of solar energy from his hands and is itself nearly indestructible. Vincente now bears this armor, and the responsibility of using it to fight injustice wherever he may find it as the hero Aguila.

In the procedure, Isaac was a given a new set of steel, robotic legs which granted him greatly augmented running speed along with very convenient compartment space for weapons and gadgets. Blue BlazerParticipantAlias: Aftermath
Real Name: Finn O’Henry
Genre: Supervillain
Powers/Special Skills: superstrength, durability
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none
Affiliations: none
Other Aliases: none
Status: at large
Bio:
Finn was a construction worker, and the very definition of a man’s man. He was an alpha male bully who saw his blatant machismo and impressive upper body strength as a sign of superiority over others. During down time, the men on his crew would engage in various contests of strength and pain tolerance, which Finn would always win. Each of his co-workers secretly hated him, but feared ostracism under the assumption that everyone else liked him.
Â
In a just world, a bully like Finn O’Henry would have been kicked by the big boot of karma. Instead, his physical imposition was exponentially augmented when one day, at the control of a jackhammer, he punched through a layer of concrete and unearthed an odd, glowing crystal. This crystal was but a tiny shard of a much larger entity at the Earth’s core known as the Power Infinitum. When he touched the gem, Finn became a huge, hulking giant with incalculable strength. With this sudden power came the instant desire to show it off, which Finn did by attacking and fighting any superhuman he could find, no matter what their intentions may be. Heroes and villains alike can’t stand the indestructible force that calls himself Aftermath.
