    Alias: Defender
    Real Name: Jim Reynolds
    Genre: Superhero
    Powers/Special Skills: superb hand-to-hand combatant
Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: bo staff; ultranium helmet
    Affiliations: The Defenders
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: active
    Bio:
Hot shot defense attorney Jim Reynolds had it all; an unmatched winning streak, a hefty paycheck, and a beautiful new wife. The main reason for Jim’s success was that he was known in the mafia underground as the lawyer who would represent anyone as long as the price was right. He had no problem representing known mob bosses and their people. But when one of these bosses had Jim’s wife killed, he decided to turn aside from his corruption and begin a life defending the innocent from those who he once fought for. His first act was to quit the mega-firm he represented and work for the city as a public defender. But then he discovered an incredible family secret; his father had been the golden age hero Chief Justice. The old man bequeathed Jim with the one thing he had kept from his heroing days – a helmet forged from ultranium, the hardest metal on Earth. Jim put together a costume and took to the streets with a bo as Defender. Not long after, he formed the super team the Defenders. Jim’s younger but bigger brother Jack has since become the hero Gavel.

    Name: Decimator
    Genre: Supervillain
Powers/Special Skills: impenetrable steel skin, massive strength, durability, size
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: several enormous guns
    Affiliations: The Negamen
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: at large
    Bio:
The soulless villain Negaman, a being composed completely of anti-matter, found a way to extract a piece of himself, thereby creating an extremely dangerous weapon. When the Negabomb went off in downtown Caligo City, it did not destroy any buildings or people. Instead, it created negative copies of all of Caligo’s many superheroes, gving rise to the largest army of evil the world had ever seen. The following is a list of the newly designed supervillains, each as powerful as their originals.

Decimator is the negative of Tank, the over-sized, steel-skinned hero. Decimator has Tank’s massive strength and size, as well as an array of high-powered guns. He’s basically a living WMD.

There is speculation that John is actually the estranged younger brother of hero Shriek.

    Alias: Deadeye
    Real Name: Nia Weathers
    Genre: Superhero
    Powers/Special Skills: uncanny aim
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: bow and arrows
    Affiliations: Black Bat; Liberator; HeroCorps
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: retired
    Bio:
Nia Weathers was a fierce advocate for women’s and civil rights in the 60’s. She used her fiery passion to get her way against the still harsh treatment she received, not only because she was a woman, but also because she was African-American. When she was bludgeoned to the brink of death by an angry group of white police officers, she decided that words were not enough. Nia traveled to a remote location in China, where she was trained by an enigmatic marksman on how to hit any target with the bow and arrow. When she returned to America 15 years later, she was an almost impossible aim, and with her new-found talent she began to fight prejudice and sexism as the hero Deadeye. She joined the HeroCorps in 1971 and stayed on until 1995, when she retired from heroing. Her son is Liberator of the New Americans, the product of a short-lived relationship between Deadeye and fellow HeroCorps member Black Bat.
