Nothing is known at this time of James’s parents. He has a younger sister, Rosemary, who is the superheroine Echo and possesses a similar ability. It is assumed that one or both of their parents wielded a similar power. Regardless, their parents are nowhere to be found, least of all by their children.James attended Caligo Central High School, easily concealing his talent from his peers and foster parents. He discovered that he could create and fire off blasts of light and sound energy when he went through puberty. For most of his life, James was content to amuse and entertain himself with this power, practicing his aim in the deep forest near his home. He kept mostly to himself.
James went to college at Malachi University and, upon graduation, got a job as an airplane mechanic at the Ford City airport. This job came with the bonus of getting to fly for free a certain number of times per year. On one of these trips, the plane on which James was a passenger was hijacked by Muslim radicals, and he was forced to unveil his power to the public, neutralizing and apprehending the three terrorists. When he was praised for his heroism, James decided to use his unique ability for the greater good as the superhero Energy Arrow. He gained immediate attention and, after changing his alias to Archer, joined the second version of the Dynamos, Team Alpha Red. Over the next few years, he has become the team’s leader.

Roman Rabinski was a simple electrician, a contractor whose work usually took him to large companies. He was working a job at a research facility late one night, when he was suddenly shocked by an extreme surge of electricity. Rather than kill him, the current turned his body into pure energy. Dazed and terrified, Roman staggered through the halls of the laboratories, and as luck would have it, ran into the only scientist working so late at night (who was currently dating Jaclyn Chambers). The robotics engineer, after determining the cause of Roman’s condition, decided to donate a suit capable of containing Roman’s slowly dispersing body. Once safely inside, Roman found that not only was he able to move around regularly, but he could fire off and then regenerate blasts from his own body.The sudden surge of power that Roman felt eventually got the better of his mind, and he finally declared himself superior to mortal man, and dedicated his existence to the eradication of humankind.

Henry Sark is physically unimposing, introverted, and unattractive. He lives his life doing what others tell him as the assistant of a cutthroat businessman. Henry lives in a small, dull apartment and drives a small, dull car. For the better part of his life, he is nobody.But when Henry’s body becomes completely immersed in salt water, he undergoes an amazing transformation. He becomes the Shark, a humanoid black fish with sharp, crushing teeth, a powerful tail, and a command over the nastier of the creatures of the sea. He has seized control of a population of merpeople on the ocean’s floor, and crowned himself their emperor.
It is theorized that Henry has a mutated gene causing this anomaly. He himself cares little for the reason. He lives for the thrill of ruling the people of the sea with cruelty and intimidation.
Emperor Shark is the main nemesis of the hero Waverunner.

Jimmy’s mother was driving through the Jornada del Meurto desert in New Mexico in July 1945 while pregnant with her son, fleeing an alcoholic and abusive husband. What she didn’t know was that she and her unborn child were dangerously close to the Trinity site, the location of the first testing of a nuclear bomb. Though the explosion didn’t kill either of them, the effects of the radiation did have some amazing effects. Little Jimmy seemed to perpetually run a high fever, though he never showed any signs of being sick. This mystery was somewhat solved when at the age of 5, Jimmy suddenly burst into flames while playing on the playground in their backyard. The fire didn’t harm Jimmy in the slightest, but it scared the hell out of his mother. Jimmy was able to learn to control this strange ability remarkably quickly and efficiently, particularly for a young boy, and he even taught himself to lob flaming balls of fire from his hands at any target he wished. News of this bizarre young man spread quickly, and he was propositioned to join the Hero Corps in 1957, shortly after his 11th birthday, using the codename Ember. He served on the team until 1978 after 21 years and changed his name to Ash to set out on a solo career.
