    Alias: Freefall
    Real Name: Dave Madison
    Genre: Superhero
    Powers/Special Skills: gravitokinesis
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: advanced tech visor
    Affiliations: Dynamos Alpha Red Team
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: active
    Bio:
Dave’s parents saw very early in his childhood that he was born a mutant. He seemed to possess the ability to mentally control the effects of gravity on objects and people, making them heavy enough to crash through the second floor and into the first, or lighter than air.

They were not ashamed of their son, but they knew the world would not be understanding, so they researched extensively until they finally discovered a suitable place for him.

When Dave was 5, he was sent to live at Power House. This facility, masked as a normal boarding school/orphanage, was a place where children with superpowers could go to learn to control their mutations while getting an education.

Dave grew up relatively happy at Power House. His parents visited him every weekend, and he soon learned how to control his gravitokinesis. When he was 14, though it was uncustomary, he was taken out of Power House and placed into a normal high school. That was where he met Veronica Gables. The two knew instantly that there was chemistry between them, and began dating. They confessed to each other that they both had superpowers, which only helped to strengthen their love for each other.

After he graduated, Dave tried going to community college, but felt unsatisfied in a classroom. When Veronica graduated 2 years later, they decided to put their abilities to good use, and became a crime fighting couple. Dave took the alias Freefall. Their chemistry made them a very effective team, and they soon became known around Ford City as quite formidable heroes.

Tragedy struck one day when a dastardly group of X-13 villains, the Terrible Ten, attacked the city. Though the ten were defeated by Dave, Veronica, and several other superheroes, Dave was stricken blind by a blast of light from the sinister Luminus.

A few months later, the couple was approached by the hero Shield and offered positions on the Dynamos Alpha Red Team. Dave was given a visor which was hyper-sensitive to sound, and allowed him to “see” well enough to continue his life as a crime fighter.

    Real Name: Gabriel Brock
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: generates intense body heat
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: Heat-concentrating suit
    Affiliations: Sphinx Foundation
    Other Aliases: Hailstone
    Status: active
    Bio:
Gabriel’s body acts like a furnace, generating extreme amounts of heat. His parents kept him out of public as long as they could, but when he was a teenager his power was discovered by the shadowy organization known as the Sphinx Foundation. They kidnapped the boy, implanted a mind-control chip in his brain, and outfitted him with a suit complete with gauntlets that concentrated his body heat and fired it from wrist-mounted cannons. He wreaked havoc at the command of Sphinx until during a battle with the Green Gremlin, his mind-control chip was damaged and he was freed from their control. Unable to convince a jury of his unfortunate predicament, Gabriel was sentenced to 10 years in the Superhuman Containment Facility.

But he didn’t stay very long. A scientist working at Brainstorm Industries came to visit Gabriel, and explained that he had worked out a deal with the court system that he would accept responsibility of Gabriel in exchange for him being a test subject for the newly developed Hailstone Suit. This suit, which stored cryogenic freezing systems, could not be worn by anyone other than a few people on Earth, because it would freeze them after prolonged use. Gabriel’s body, however, was a perfect fit because it was always hot. He agreed to the tests and emerged from the Brainstorm Laboratories as Hailstone, an ice-slinging hero.

    Alias: Forge
    Real Name: Parker Payne
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: Shape metal at will and fuse it to his body
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: short metal poles
    Affiliations: Dynamos Excelsior
    Other Aliases: None
    Status: active
    Bio:
Parker is the son of Dr. Peggy Payne, a scientist in metallurgical chemistry. Dr. Payne was working on a hybrid element that could break down the consistency of metal at the molecular level, making it easy to shape. She devised two inventions to aid metal workers in welding; one was a pair of gloves coated in the new element. She took the gloves home and hid them as best she could from her twin children, but the boy twin, Parker, found them.

A mutation in Parker, which had remained dormant until he donned the gloves, reacted suddenly with the gloves, fusing them permanently to Parker’s hands. By the time Dr. Payne discovered her son’s predicament, it was too late. Parker was now endowed with the ability to shape metal in seconds, as well as fuse it to his body. Priscilla found the other invention and changed in a different way. Her entire body became galvanized.

Unable to cope with her children’s changes, Dr. Payne sent them to Power House, a secret school for superpowered children. The Payne twins learned the extent of their powers while there. After they left the school, Parker and Priscilla fought crime as a metallic duo.

But when the twins were in their late-20’s Priscilla, who had started going by the mantle Iron Maiden, was turned to evil by the magnetokinetically-powered villain Electromagnus. Despite her brother’s pleas, Priscilla left his side and became Electromagnus’s assistant and apprentice. Parker tried to rescue Priscilla from the villain’s clutches, but was defeated and hurt very badly. In fact, Electromagnus was able to rip Parker’s right glove, hand included, from his arm before Parker could stab him in the shoulder with a sharpened metal pole.

Priscilla fled and Electromagnus was placed in a metal-less containment cell. Parker was able to use his body’s power to reattach the glove, but his hand would be forever gone. Though the replaced glove serves adequately as an artificial hand, it doesn’t have complete mobility like his left.

Depressed by his failed attempt to rescue his sister and the loss of his hand, Parker, now known as Forge in the superhero world, sought out the famous team the Dynamos, and was placed in Excelsior. He still hopes to find and reform his twin sister.

    Alias: Flyweight
    Real Name: Eddie Stack
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: hollow bones, making him weigh almost nothing
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none
    Affiliations: Dynamos Special Operations
    Other Aliases: Leap Frog
    Status: active
    Bio:
The years of Eddie’s life until he emerged as a hero at the age of 23 are vague. He seems to have led a fairly normal life. Because he was born an anomaly, he didn’t even realize he was different until he hesitantly joined a local basketball team. It was then that Eddie exerted himself to his full potential to the amazement of everyone present, sailing 50 to 100 feet into the air and floating gracefully back down to the ground. Seen as a freak, Eddie’s friends stopped hanging out with him and he lived in moderate solitude for years, ashamed of what he considered a deformity. But his ability was noticed by the Dynamo Council and he was recruited to the newly formed Special Operations team. His first hero name was Leap Frog, and along with it came a ridiculous suit resembling a toad. When two of the members of the Spec Ops group died in battle, Eddie was moved up in the ranks and decided to shed his silly outfit in exchange for something a little less gawdy. At the same time, he changed his name to Flyweight. He is now the second-in-command of the Spec Ops sect of the Dynamos. Because his bones are hollow, they are also exceptionally strong, to the extent that they are harder to break than a normal’s would be.
