WoodyParticipantConsidering all of our promo characters were designed by you incredibly talented Hero Machine users, I figured I should designated a central location where you can view all of our various artwork and character pieces. Enjoy!

Thanks, Kaldath! You rock! Any chance you can remove that weird Blizzard attachment from the bottom of the post? I have no idea how that got there, but I can’t seem to remove it.

WoodyParticipantThe way we’re doing our character customization, you get to select the sex (male, female), size (average, large), and pose of your character before editing their body parts, outfit, and equipment. The Faradox model is an example of what players will be able to create with a Large Male character (right now he’s just in a neutral pose that probably won’t be in the final design).

The Atomic PunkParticipantLooking good. The plated-mask Scarab Supreme is awesome. The gold-face shows emotion which works on a certain level. It just does not have that “soulless killer” vibe.

Me too! I saw AMS’s designs on his profile a few weeks before we launched the contest, and I remember hoping Blizzard specifically would get submitted. Thanks, AMS, for designing such an awesome character!

WoodyParticipantThough it’s been a while since we’ve posted on Facebook, that doesn’t mean we haven’t been making some exciting progress. For you Hero Machine fans, I present a few early UI concepts that we’re not even going to post on Facebook. Enjoy!
*Please note that these are mock-up designs that feature images of copyrighted characters who will not be appearing in the game. The graphics and images are also not indicative of how the finished game will look.

WoodyParticipantThanks, Kaldath! I was in the process of updating this post earlier when my computer straight-up died and I had to take it apart…

WoodyParticipantWow, can’t believe it’s been over 3 months since my last post on here. Things are moving along slowly but steadily here at Thunderpunch Studios, and we even have our basic website up and running now (www.thunderpunchstudios.com). Based on community feedback (mainly, that a lack of character animation was not ideal for most players), we’ve had to make a few changes to the overall concept. Now, instead of being a “create whatever you want” game focused on multiplayer and devoid of story, we’ve focused it down to a futuristic style game where all of the characters are robots/androids. You will still have a ton of visual options for creating your characters, but this gives us more control over how the in-game abilities work and will allow us to animate them accordingly.
We do plan on posting the game mechanics on our website forum soon, so be sure to stop by and create a profile. The thunderpunchstudios.com forum will be your direct connection to the Thunderpunch Studios team, and will allow you to directly influence our design decisions!
In the meantime, here are a few more layouts for how character and team customization will work. Enjoy! (Please remember that these images are for layout/functionality purposes only, and do not reflect the artistic quality of our game.)

The Atomic PunkParticipantSweet! Love the rendering. What platform(s) are you guys considering?
December 18, 2012 at 11:05 am #15753
WoodyParticipantRight now we’re focused on pc and tablet, though we’re not opposed to the idea of a console release.
