SulemanParticipantHere’s a halfling conjurer I made for another acquaintance.
I’ve been playing around with softer line colors a lot recently. I think they lead to some pretty interesting results.
Also, as a bonus, here’s my original sketch.
And THAT is why you ask for clarifications.

headlessgeneralMemberHere you go, Suleman. I kinda got away from your original more than I was trying but I like the way it turned out. Wish I could have captured her heft a bit more but I was having trouble doing that with the pose I chose. With the design, I think I chose that hood and the rest of the outfit just went in that direction and away from the original. All in all, it was fun. Hope you like it.

SulemanParticipantAh, very Robin Hood. I can dig it. The original was very loosely modelled after middle-eastern archers. It’s always great to see what others do with the same idea!
I really like that the parts the outfit consists of are easy to determine rather than being a mess of straps and plates. Especially digging the shoulders and the gloves. Great shading, too. You haven’t lost a step.

SulemanParticipantI made a new little collection of my thoughts regarding posing in Heromachine.

SulemanParticipantI would like to do another art trade or commission. Any takers?
I’ve been fiddling around with some of my own ideas but I haven’t found the drive to finish any of them lately. Please give me something to make, I’m up for anything.

JR19759KeymasterYeah, I’m up for it. Take your pick on any of my characters, I don’t mind. Any preference for who I do, or do I get free reign too?

SulemanParticipantEh, surprise me!

SulemanParticipantNice! I like how hefty your version is. Also, interesting to see how you shifted the design to a front-facing view. Working on my part of the deal, might take a day or so before I have the time to finish it.

JR19759KeymasterThat’s cool. Glad you like it.

SulemanParticipantThis took a while! Lots of shading.
Some notes: I realize that the climber’s equipment isn’t actually entirely realistic, but it’s close enough by heromachine standards.
Also, some of you might be asking “Hey, Suleman, haven’t you used the same damn mountain background like three times already?”
First of all, how dare you question me. Secondly, mountains are one of the few backgrounds that heromachine is really good for. I’ve had a lot of trouble trying to make other settings look decent, but mountains never fail.

SulemanParticipantHow dare you question me.
Luwalhati “Twitchy” Orongan is a crew member NPC from the Rogue Trader campaign I’m in. She is a pistol specialist recruited from Scintilla to the ship’s security forces. Clearly has experience, has risen in rank and trust very fast. Probably has some very good and sharp reasons for leaving Scintilla. For a former gang member, she is downright pleasant, though she has a tendency to get a bit jumpy and trigger-happy when under stress.
As a bonus, a size reference:
