StulteParticipantThanks, man! I’ve used tattoos like that a few times before, they work pretty well for that.
I lost the last save before shading, and had to red0 some stuff, which is why there are differences between the two pictures. But if the rug looks better in the reconstructed version I guess it was worth it 🙂May I ask what it is you prefer about the unshaded face?
Taupou Malae, daughter of Malietoa Kainano, having her first spiritual experience. Aged 8.
Yeah, another unfinished piece. I can only work on a crying, bleeding, blinded eight-year old child for so many hours before I start feeling like a complete and utter bastard. Sleep now, shading tomorrow.
By the way, maybe I should explain some of the Samoan terms I’m using:
Malietoa: One of the four Samoan paramount chiefs.
Taupou: The daughter of the Malietoa.
Tu’i Manu’a: Ruler of many islands (emperor).October 29, 2014 at 8:53 pm #114103
StulteParticipantThis is the worst thing I have ever made.

Timedrop23ParticipantThis is the worst thing I have ever made.
Nah. Some of the shading is a bit funky, but I think the animals are cute and creative, and Malae’s face is very expressive.

StulteParticipantThank you, but I was referring to the choice of subject matter. Technically I think it’s pretty solid.

Wolf MasterParticipantI wouldn’t exactly say i like it would be the right phraseology here, but it is a very well designed piece especially like the use of pieces for the animals.

StulteParticipantThank you, and I totally get if you don’t like it.
Too much depressing stuff in this thread right now. Let’s see how Malae is doing six months later.
Yeah, another unshaded one. I’ll try and have that fixed as soon as possible.
And if you get what this picture is referencing, then you are awesome.
Some more blue spirit animals, because they’re a blast to make.

Mad JackParticipantAnd if you get what this picture is referencing, then you are awesome.
I’d say Calvin and Hobbes, but I already know that I’m awesome… 😉

JR19759KeymasterI should probably check in on the forums first, because I said the exact same thing over on deviantart. *facepalm*
I’m still awesome though, right? *does sad puppy dog eyes* 😉
