SulemanParticipantThat remade Bridge Protector shows how much you’ve advanced in terms of coloring and shading. It was a really good design even without those, now it’s pretty brilliant.
The stars-and-stripes color scheme with Starchild is really well done! That has been done so many times before, but this feels really nice and fresh. Digging it.

SkoulParticipant@Suleman : Thanks man! Bridge Protector was and is still my favourite picture I’ve created, before I started shading. As for the redo, I went with a pose which, back then, I wouldn’t have dared try and it shows, if only to me, how much I have improved but also how much more I can improve.
Yes I have returned from my short absence. There were some exams and family matters, but for now it looks to be fairly calm for the near future.
Onto my new picture – Abomination.
(A little) Bio: I have previously hinted at one of A.E.G.I.S’s projects titled ‘CERBERUS’, which most importantly gave it’s name to the hero team against A.E.G.I.S. I also hinted as to a ‘Weapon’ to wipe out all Gifted. The bio-weapon was actually engineered to terminate the CERBERUS project. The CERBERUS project was an experiment to see how many ‘Gifts’ one person could have. The result was an Abomination, no longer a person, no longer ‘Human’. All the genetic manipulation to increase the acceptance of new ‘Gene’ variations and to prevent rejection resulted in a vastly changed appearance and mental state. It is unknown as to how many ‘Gifts’ Abomination has but it is widely assumed it was incorporated with samples from all of the subjects A.E.G.I.S studied, but even then it is unknown how many were accepted, mutated or even merged.

SkoulParticipantAs you can see from my previous picture, Abomination would appear to have defeated the CERBERUS team in quite an epic fight, which gave me an idea. With my heroes dead it gives me a chance to rebirth them. (Just a long winded way of saying – “Hey I’m gonna do some revamps!”)
So first up is Goldstar.

SkoulParticipantAfter a short delay I have finished Luna’s revamp. It’s quite an overhaul costume wise and I think it works better.

SkoulParticipantAt first I thought I was going to redo all the Cerberus team members, but then I remembered I had already revamped Echo and I am still really pleased with how Dewbert and Guardian (Yes I finally thought of a name for James), so I have done some minor colour and shading improvements to the rest. I have also thrown together a group shot of Cerberus team, though I may do another where they are each more visible.

SkoulParticipantSo another CDC entry and a member of A.E.G.I.S new elite team (futureverse): Heatstroke. He is a speedster, not as fast as Starchild when at max energy absorption, but he can run about twice as fast as the average athlete. Also mounted on his wrist is a ‘Lava cannon’, well it’s actually a volatile acid that is superheated upon firing, so it acts like lava but is containable.

SkoulParticipantIt’s been a while Heromachine. I have been rather distracted as of late, due to a new game which is rather addictive, but enough about that you want a picture. I started this one before all of the new items were added so no new stuff here I’m afraid.
Here I give you Zone (terrible working title) a portal creator and third member of (futureverse) A.E.G.I.S’ elite team (there’s quite a black and red theme isn’t there). Now his portal creating ability is rather restricted due to the universal axis. Whenever we move we are travelling horizontally or vertically or both, not to dissimilar from the axes on a graph. However if one were to somehow suddenly change which axis they were on, certain death would ensue, henceforth portal placement procedure is vital for staying alive. I shall outline the basic rules below.
1. Momentum must be conserved. Under no circumstances should portals be placed such that one does not leave with the same movement vector they entered.
2. Portals can only be placed in horizontally OR vertically to each other, but NEVER both.
3. Under no circumstances should a portal be placed in such a manner that exit becomes impossible and one is compressed into oblivion when the portal closes. This has been known to cause black holes.
4. Finally one should NEVER attempt to open a portal larger than twice their height and/or width as doing so could cause an uncontained anomaly that would cause the portal to rapidly and infinitely expand eventually spanning the entire universe and thus compress it into an infinitesimally small space ending life as we know it.
Well that’s me until I next surface. If anyone can think of a better name, by all means you can post it. I shall now retreat back into spectating mode.

Linea24ParticipantWhoa, I really like the thought you put into Zone’s portal power!

StulteParticipant1. Momentum must be conserved. Under no circumstances should portals be placed such that one does not leave with the same movement vector they entered.
Interesting. I remember reading a story in which a kangaroo is teleported to a research center on the other side of the Earth, without accounting for the fact that in relation to it the world now suddenly turns in the opposite direction. The kangaroo itself maintains its own speed and trajectory which was unnoticable before the teleportation, since the rest of the world was happily spinning along with it. As a result the poor creature hits the floor exactly where intended, but it suddenly finds itself hurled against the wall at the velocity of 2000 mph. Ultimately the researchers decide that teleportation was a stupid idea, before calling for the custodians and assigning blame.
On another note, I really like your Heatstroke. Very dynamic pose, and you’ve got to love a character who can bull rush his opponent and punch acid lava into their stupid face.

SkoulParticipant@Linea24 : Thanks. I didn’t want to just say teleportation via portals, because then there are no constraints to what Zone could possibly do and then he would be over powered. I decided that some limitations were in order to stop from being too powerful and add some potentially interesting plot twists.
@Stulte : That’s why we have rules in place – to stop teleporters from killing themselves, or the universe.Just dropping off some fresh, and not so fresh, machinings.
Firstly we have Firewall, a rouge with the ability to enter electrical devices. Being a hacker, he accidentally created a virus that infected his own computer. In an effort to stop the virus he tried to shut down his computer but it had almost become sentient. While trying to unplug the computer one of the cables suddenly came loose and latched onto him sending both electricity and the virus surging through his body. this triggered his dormant ‘gift’ to activate and his cells began to merge with that of the virus thus making him able to enter electrical devices. It is not known, however, how the virus affected his mind if at all.
Secondly and lastly is Zap. I don’t really know what to say about Zap. I’m thinking he’ll have the ability to focus energy in his fingers/fists and fire it in pulses, however I feel like this has been done a lot. I do like the idea of him making his hands into gun shapes and shouting “Pew…Pew” or “Zap…Zap” while firing energy blasts.
Well that’s me again, until I can find the time to create some more, when Uni work isn’t swamping me.

ExtremelyEPICParticipantI really like the look of Zap.

Vectorman316ParticipantFirewall is beast. Also, I like that you took the time to detail the rules of Zone’s powers. Good look, too 😀
November 27, 2015 at 6:31 am #131560
SkoulParticipant@ExtremelyEPIC: Thanks man! I’m really proud of how he turned out .
@Vectorman316: Thanks! I’m glad you like Firewall, I hear he’s quite infectious.Anyways, I’ve decided Zap’s powers are static charge generation. He can generate static charge and release it either through touch or as a projectile, however he must keep moving to generate charge.
New character time. The Omega suit is unknown in origin, some believe it to be sentient, others to be some extraordinarily advanced technology. The suit itself, once worn moulds to the inhabitants body. It makes the wearer invulnerable to physical damage, except for one area. The omega suit also splits open the inhabitant’s skull to reveal their brain, the brain is not covered by the suit and so is vulnerable to attack, it is thought this is a failsafe whereby the suit can have the inhabitant retired if needs be. It is called the Omega suit not only because it of the ohm emblazoned upon it, but also because it allows the inhabitant to manipulate Omega energy. Omega energy is the energy that causes entropy and destruction, this makes the suit valuable to any and all who wish for power. Once on, however, the suit will not come off until you are dead.
Th..th..th..th..th-that’s all folks!
