HammerknightParticipantIf you had your very own man/woman cave how would you decorate it? With unlimited funds.

VampyristParticipantI would deck it out with the best TV and sound system available. My walls would be covered with so many discs, that if I ever run out of anything to watch, it would be a miracle. Also within my cave would be a PS3 and other systems I play. Lastly, the most top of the line computer, so I could go on HM3 whenever I wanted to.

MyroParticipantI’ve already got some of it. I have Blu-ray, PVR, the PS3, and the XBox 360. I have wall-to-walldvds and more videogames than I know what to do with. A bigger flatscreen would be nice, say in the 60″ range. And a Lay-Z Boy sofa with speakers and subwoofer built into the seats.
Mostly, I would want a pool table and air hockey table. My friends and I play an insane amount of that.February 14, 2012 at 4:28 am #1399
Kaylin88100ParticipantTwo desks: one for drawing and other art, one for my computer. And this computer would have several screens so I can have one on HM3, one on the forums, one on YouTube…you get the idea. Also, one wall FULL of books and another FULL of DVDs and CDs. Did I forget to mention the huge TV? Oh yeah, and an amazing sound system to play the CDs on.
I'd also need a lot of paper, pencils, pens, colouring pencils, paints, paintbrushes… (for my art, obviously) Â Good lighting is the other essential.
Lots of reference material for drawing would be nice…but then what's the internet for? I would need a printer and a scanner, though. A scanner is the one thing I would really like but don't have.

You can get a printer/scanner real cheap now day, plus they have a hand held wand too, but it's not as cheap. Your cave sounds a little like mine, but with out the DVD's and CD's.

For me, the problem isn't cost so much as space: where do I put it so I have easy access to it? That would be the main thing about my cave – lots of space. At the moment in my bedroom I have one desk, which is quite cluttered, and I have to move the laptop out of the way if I want to draw. The printer isn't in the room, it's in my dad's study, so that would be another nice thing.

Herr DParticipantTwice now, I have assembled my mancave and had it overrun by household changes. It consists of a stereo, computer, and a desk/bench of my own design composited of two desks and an entertainment center. Desk, cp, stereo and filing cabinet are one piece with a clamping arm attached, suitable for holding a clipboard, assembly manual, embroidery hoop or notebook–that’s 7′ long. The bench part has a 6′ x 3′ work surface with most of an entertainment center 5′ h x 5′ w mounted above it. The shelves are stuffed with tools, materials, and trays which hold individual projects in various stages. One rolling chair completes the whole thing. I’ve had less than 2 months total use of it, but I’ve worked on it in metal, wood, wax, stone–and I painted, drew, sewed as well. And on the computer, I wrote and used a form of AutoCad. I designed it for ease and speed of multitasking and switching media.
