JR19759KeymasterZodiac 10- Kubira The Rat
Charming, strong-willed and intelligent, Kubira the Rat is one of the self-imposed leaders of the Zodiac. His host, George Thomas, was a successful entrepreneur, who’s enthusiasm for fire-arms saved both his and Kubira’s life when they first met the Jade Emperor. Whilst on the surface Kubira seems an easy person to get along with, underneath he can be very aggressive and obstinate, determined to get what he wants, no matter what the cost. He prefers to focus on the bigger picture, even if it can put his friends in danger.

JR19759KeymasterZodiac 11, the penultimate member of the team- Pajra The Goat
Pajra the zodiac spirit of the goat, carried by Willow Majors, is the thinker of the group. She is much happier being alone, absorbed in her thoughts, than with the other zodiac spirits. She is very artistic, and enjoys painting and playing music on the lyra. Willow was a nurse before she became Pajra and, as such, takes care of any member of the group who is injured or ill.

JR19759Keymaster12th and final Zodiac- Catura The Dog
Matthew Roberts, the host chosen by the Zodiac Spirit of the Dog and the youngest member of the zodiac team, being only 16 years old. An avid horror and sic-fi fan, he ran away from home when he first became Catura’s host, believing he was a werewolf. He was the first of the current hosts to be found by the Jade Emperor, but was saved by Indra. Catura is very friendly and loyal, as well as being a good listener. He has a very strong moral compass and will act as the teams conscience if any members make plans that could endanger innocents. He looks up to the older members of the zodiac team, but often they don’t take him seriously, especially Sandilya the Rooster and Anila the Dragon, who think he is too young and too inexperienced to be a good fighter.
There’ll be a group shot up in a few, but as with the Association Of Amazing Alumni, I request critique on this team. Who’s people fave, what works well, what doesn’t, that sort of thing. I like to know how I can improve.

JR19759KeymasterAnd here’s the team shot, so you can see how they all fit together.
L-R:
Sandilya (Snake), Mihira (Tiger), Makura (Monkey), Sindura (Rooster), Anila (Dragon), Catura (Dog), Pajra (Goat), Vajra (Ox), Indra (Horse), Vikarala (Pig), Antira (Rabbit), Kubira (Rat)Trying to come up with related ideas for 12 characters is quite difficult, made even more difficult by using a theme like the chinese zodiac, but I think it worked well.

JR19759KeymasterWhile I’m at it, I shall also put these up for your perusal.
From the Santa Swap today:
Christmas Tree for djuby
A new member of T.R.U.S.T for Livewyre1014- Radon (using one of djuby’s gift poses)
And using Harlequins hair gift- Lucy
me trying to do a Harlequin style character portrait. I must say, we all talk about Harlequin’s brilliant posing and how he does faces (or I do at least), but I don’t think he is given enough credit for how he does hair. I wouldn’t even know where to begin with some of the styles he does, so kudos for that mate. And finally my (first) entry into Livewyre’s Villains contest- Kargan
Hope you like

JR19759KeymasterRedesign of Wyvern (using djuby’s hellcat pose from the Santa Swap thread)
Once a respected zoologist, Cassandra Combs fell from favour due to some of her more ‘far out’ theories about mythological creatures having actually existed. However, on a journey to Greece, hunting Chimeras, she came across a dying Wyvern. The Wyvern, sensing Cassandra’s good heart, bestowed upon her it’s power, transforming her into the high flying, fire breathing super heroine Wyvern.

WeilynMemberWhen I was but a small girl my father thought me the “massverkans lag”. Basically this means that coherency, either through a common colour scheme or geometry, creates a very appealing overall look. Your Zodiac characters are one of the greatest examples of this concept, both through their mythological connection and the awesome colours. They work perfectly both individually and as a unit.
Great, geat work!
(As a side note; “massverkans lag” translates to “mass effect”. So many years later I realized that my father was talking out of his ass, as fathers are wont to do, regarding the actual term. I believe his point still stands, though.)
(Sorry for rambling. I’m drunk on the internet again.)

livewyre1014ParticipantI didn’t even notice at the time you used some of my poses for your zodiac crew, you made them so completely yours. Glad someone is getting good use out of them!

JR19759KeymasterThanks guys.
Livewyre, I’m sure lots of people are getting good use out of your brilliant poses, I just happen to be the first to put one up here.December 4, 2012 at 4:19 pm #14898
JR19759KeymasterTrying out a new look Demon Girl. She’s always been my favourite of my characters and I’m just trying to make her more visually interesting. She’s now got a more punky/ scene style and she has a massive sword for doing some serious damage to demons and other supernatural nasties.
Hope you like.December 4, 2012 at 10:55 pm #14931
WeilynMemberI’m loving that sword! Awesome work!
