Herr DParticipantOne of a certain culture’s methods for dealing with those interminably repeating, unresolvable arguments. Those who don’t practice what they preach can feel however they like but are not to argue in person because they are not qualified. Personal data being on memory sticks will cause a light to glow by a color code relating to the issues. Any passersby may demand the sticks, which are always carried in marsupial-style pouches, and compare them to the ambient color of the debater. A mismatch means the argument must publicly stop. It can continue privately, of course–this system is to promote peaceful community, not prevent self-expression.

Herr DParticipantMan! I’ve missed being on this site for a few days. An acquaintance of mine needed some interesting help this week. I’m not very experienced with boats, and had never taken underwater samples or checked depths with weighted cables before. Long story short, we cleaned off his equipment and put a screen over it so he can avoid this trouble again. Pity I’m not suited for that sort of work–I could’ve been a lot more helpful.

Meet the climbing contagion, Tarsier! He climbs buildings with his special suit and disperses his very own viral ‘tonic’ that he refers to as the ‘Justice Germ.’ Consequences are morality-based, or so he claims. People who have never been in more than shouting matches get flu-like symptoms. People who have defended themselves seem to get no more than fevers and extreme discomfort. So far, all aggressive, violent felons have experienced extreme pain, loss of mobility, and death within thirty-five hours. All other symptoms for survivors are gone in forty hours. No one knows how the Justice Germ was developed or whether it is a ‘natural’ output of this peculiar individual.

Herr DParticipantWanted: Someone to prevent me feeling this satirical. All serious and worthy offers considered.

Herr DParticipant. . . Shortly after sunrise, the dark knight attacked. Far from being an easy fight, the duel was quite a surprise. The dark knight’s liege will NOT be happy . . .

Herr DParticipantWhat’s got shiny blue plates like a beetle, only four legs, and eats something that begins with a ‘V?’

Thanks to Maaz. I very much wanted to get an earlier start than usual on designing Christmas cards this year.

Herr DParticipantThis is Bob. He’s having a boring day. The gears are oiled, the mix is good, the hull is sturdy, and the molds are all full. He knows the other 30000 stations are doing the same work. “Please!” he’s thinking, “Isn’t there more to life than this?”
April 28, 2014 at 3:21 pm #39776
MyroParticipantThere are days I know just how Bob feels.

Herr DParticipantI was reminiscing about a routine I did for a while. It was a kata with two razor-sharp, mirror-plated swords. Single-edged till close to the tip, double-edged at the tip, three disks along the flat edge . . .
http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/2014hm/KataWithSwords_zps5d8ce3bd.png
I’m beginning to think that those disks were rings that had been painted over too many times in too much of a hurry. This shape isn’t exactly right, and I turned the hilt prongs backwards, and the costume is a poor replica–but this is about what I saw in the reflective ceiling when I bent backward to smash the vase with my helmet. I thought the vase smash was goofy, but they swore to me it was impressive? -
