G. W.ParticipantI have decided to create a separate folder for my Superhero/villain universe. I will use the old one for challenges and anything else I make.

G. W.ParticipantFirst: the Warrior. I am going to put the old superheroes in this one, but I am slightly updating them.

G. W.ParticipantEver since his birth Cerebrum has had his abilities of levitation, mind reading, telekinesis, and occasional mind control. He also has an eidetic memory, observational and deductive skills on par with Sherlock Holmes, and ranks amongst the smartest men on the face of the earth. Due to his abilities, he was disowned by his terrified parents at an early age. He was soon found by the Warrior and taken to his training facility, having been there the longest of the All-Stars.

G. W.ParticipantThe Eagle. Ever since birth, the Eagle was raised in a lab, the result of an experiment. At the age of twelve, he and the Chameleon escaped, eventually being found by the Warrior. The Eagle has incredible eyesight, flight, and talons, as well as highly enhanced strength and speed (pretty much everyone in this world has enhanced strength and speed.) Out of all the All-Stars, he is the darkest, and could turn into an anti-hero if pushed over the edge.

G. W.ParticipantMother Earth: Born with the abilities to manipulate plants and earth, and to communicate with animals. Little is known about her past, but she was found as a baby by the Warrior in the middle of the world. Not a member of the All-Stars. Also, the Olympians are not part of this universe, and thus if I add a character based on a mythological figure, even if it looks similar to my version from the super team challenge, it is a different character from a different universe.

G. W.ParticipantThe Electric Eel: Son of Poseidon, King of Atlantis, the Electric Eel can breathe underwater, manipulate electricity. Also, he has enhanced speed, especially underwater, and enhanced strength. He is the leader and one of the founders of the All-Stars. He came to the Warrior asking for a team to help him take down the evil Prince Neptune.

G. W.ParticipantI am relatively new to Heromachine. I admit that my designs are standard to say the least. I do not know how to use some of the finer parts of HM3. As such, any suggestions or constructive criticisms are not only welcomed, but encouraged.

G. W.ParticipantThe Chameleon: Was an experiment from the same facility as the eagle. The two of them escaped together. Both of the two have darker tendencies than the other All-Stars, and either would turn at least partially to the dark side if the other died. She can climb walls, and can change the color and pattern of her skin. She also has a suit with the same powers.

G. W.ParticipantThe Maple Warrior:
The Maple Warrior (I really need to come up with alter egos. And super names that aren’t terrible) is a Canadian supersoldier. In the ’90s, the Canadian government authorized a supersoldier program. The Maple Warrior happened to volunteer at just the right time, when the serum had been mostly perfected. Revealed to Canada, and the world in 2006, the Maple Warrior, in addition to having a spear and shield, has enhanced speed, immunity, and agility, and essentially has super strength and super endurance. He is also Canada’s representative to the Global Legion of Superheroes, a team of heroes from around the world created just a month after the Maple Warrior was revealed. The team defends the world from various major threats, and is devoted to spreading peace (this first one somewhat ironically), justice, freedom, and equality. Yes, I know that I need to work on his face. Please tell me how I can fix it, and my other faces. And while I have seen this sort of super-team in other forum topics, I got this idea before I saw those other topics.

G. W.ParticipantEmber: Ember was an ordinary college student. Then, one day, he was caught in a freak accident which gave him flight and flame manipulation abilities (including pyrokinesis). He is younger than the other All-Stars, was only briefly trained by the swordsman’s teachers (although this is partially because he learned how to control his powers very easily), and joined the All-Stars a couple years late. He tends to quip a lot more than the others, although this is primarily to mask his depression. This is my first time ever using shading. Please give me some advice on the nose.

SulemanParticipantFor advice on the nose (literally), I recommend swapping the colors. Right now, it sticks out from the rest of the face (heh) in a bad way. The default color order for noses is just generally wrong, in my opinion. Could just be my personal taste, though
As for shading, this is not a bad start. One important thing to remember is that Ember’s flames are also a light source! That will affect the rest of the shading. You can use the same circular gradients that you use in shading to add a glow to the flames, for instance. That will also mean that e.g. this guy’s lower arms will be brighter than his upper arms, since the lower arms are closer to the flames.

G. W.ParticipantThank you, Suleman. I will take your advice on the flames. The problem with the nose is a shading thing, not a color thing. The color was fine until I shaded the face.

G. W.ParticipantUpdate of Ember’s shading: still not great, but I think it’s better (I gave up on the face for now.)

G. W.ParticipantThe Comet: Since touching a comet containing some unknown substance at the age of nine, she has had the powers of flight, extreme speed, and extreme strength (her flight is faster than her running). Just a little older than Ember now, she was the only original All-Star who had just finished training at the swordsman’s facility. Originally the color scheme was red, white, and blue, but I ultimately decided to give the outfit a more consistent comet motif by using just shades of blue and light grey (and white).

G. W.ParticipantI do not have a new version of Rubber yet, so here is his god-awful original form (one of my earliest creations. He was born with natural rubber properties, including elasticity, bouncing, and insulation against electricity Also a member of the All-Stars. I didn’t get all that in to creating this character, admittedly. I might not even make him a member in this universe’s incarnation of the team.
