Taken into slavery as a child, the only names she knew were “you…girl”, and “slave”. As she grew, she learned of her homeland and of the legendary warrior queen who fought, and was victorious over the Romans. She entered the gladiatorial ring under that name, a name that instilled fear throughout all of Rome: Boudica. As her opponent lay at her feet she would loosen her helmet allowing a single red braid of hair to fall. Her opponents would all go to the afterlife knowing they had died at the hands of a Celtic woman.
