DeadmanMemberWell it looks like Supers reign on the boards, so I will dig into the archives and pull out some of my creations from those campaigns. This one is TechKnight from The Justice Squad.
Here is my original drawing. Now you know why I use HM.
This is how he looked in HM2. I kind of got away from my original illustration when I designed this.
When I created him with HM3 I was able to get closer to my original.
Finally, when I submitted him for the Gadgeteer contest I added a background and some flash.

DeadmanMemberNext up is Switch. Justice Squad’s resident Martial Artist and Teleporter.
This is my original drawing of him.
Here is the HM2 version. Actually pretty close to the original and not too bad if I do say so myself.
Finally, this is the HM3 version. Much better defined and IMO pretty cool.

DeadmanMemberThird, and last for tonight, is Starlet. Justice Squad’s high maintenance Energy Projector.
My original drawing is honestly pretty pathetic. I was never good at drawing the female form.
This is the HM2 version which is a lot better than mine.
Finally, the HM3 version is much more what I was thinking about when I made the first drawing.

DeadmanMemberTo continue with Justice Squad, here is Granite, the foul mouthed team Brick.
My original drawing.
HM2 Version
HM3 Version
And finally, I am submitting this pic of him for the Brute contest.

HammerknightParticipantGreat stuff, I like how you included your original drawings.

LegatusParticipantThat’s an awesome collection of characters. I especially like to see the development. That is very cool.
GraniteSmash is a favorite!… and Hooray for Champions!

DeadmanMemberI thought I would finish off the Justice Squad. Two more characters…
Blur, the team joker and speedster.
Here is my original drawing (I actually have gotten a little better over the years)
Here is the HM2 version (doctored with PSP)
And here is the most recent version using HM3

DeadmanMemberLast but not least from the Justice Squad…
Psyche, the introverted and agoraphobic Mentalist.
The original drawing (of all of them I liked the way this one turned out)
HM2 version (unfortunately there was no way to put her in a levitation pose)
HM3 version (this one came out pretty good IMHO as I tried to copy my original drawing pretty closely)
Next up….Power Force!

DeadmanMemberThank you Hammerknight and Vectorman. I am working on improving my technique with posing, shading and overall layout. My entries in the contests are my latest work. Most of the rest have been sitting around for a while getting use as counters for my games.

TrekkieParticipantGreat development of your characters, and they’ve all got cool designs.
May I suggest exporting your HM3 creations as .png instead of .jpg? They’ll come out in better quality.

DeadmanMemberThanks Trekkie, you bring up a great point. I have always used JPG to keep the file sizes down but I think I should definitely export my contest submissions in PNG. I will certainly do that in the future.

DeadmanMemberMy friend decided to run a campaign for my character Wildcat concentrating on his early years before he became a hero. Here is what I came up with for him. You can look up thread to see what he looks like later.

DeadmanMemberThis is Fortress. One of my characters from a campaign my buddy ran a while back. He was most known for his ego being nearly as big as he can grow. In the campaign he was nominated as the group’s public relations guy which lead to him becoming a huge star. Much to the dismay of the rest of the group.
