MoognationParticipantExcellent! So glad to see some new stuff, and by a new artist, too! Hey, not fer nothin’, but if you, dblade, or Jeff are ever bored, maybe somebody could go back to the FOOT drawing board and redo some of Jeff’s original footwear.
Has anybody besides me noticed that the instep for most of ’em are backwards?
Just throwin’ it out there…

Mad JackParticipantUhoh, looks like I stired up a hornets’ nest. But patience you must have my friends. dblade is responsible for putting the items in the machine – and sadly he got sick this weekend. So, let’s all hope he’s getting well soon…
But that doesn’t mean I can’t drum up the excitement a little bit more. Here’s my work from today.

FRMParticipanti really dig the robo-arms, and the fishy glove/boot-fin thingies! i need them! GIMME!

dbladeParticipantMethinks I am being surpassed! Holy smokes, Madjack! I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep up with your onslaught of axesome new items.

Mad JackParticipantAh, don’t worry man, that’s just for now. I’m gonna slow down eventually – at the latest when I’m running out of ideas. Also, there are only so many items at once because they were relatively easy to create. The more complicated ones (like a very, very futuristc helmet I’ve already cast an eye at) will take me much longer to work on.

amsParticipantAll awesome items to have as new addtions. Like that new boot. 3/4 turn of it in the works? For the boot tread, can you beef it up a bit? How are you at hands?
Cheers!

I have to admit that I’m not really good at illustrating freehand. I almost always need a template with the right angle to trace. Sorry…
For the boot tread, can you beef it up a bit?
Not sure what you mean with “boot tread” or “beef it up a bit”. My English skills seems to let me down lately.
How are you at hands?
Ah, I think I know what you’re getting at. I already tried a hand on the hips, but the result wasn’t very good. But I keep trying …

What he means is the bottom bit of the army boot (first set of items, bottom row, left column, next to the dino foot) could be a bit thicker. Hope that helps.

Mad JackParticipantAh, now I get it. And with beef it up he means make it higher/bigger or what?! That I could try…
Like this?
December 17, 2013 at 7:42 am #34775
JR19759KeymasterYeah, making the sole higher is what he meant. I can’t speak for AMS but I’d say that looks better.
December 17, 2013 at 8:21 am #34777
amsParticipantSorry if I wasn’t more clear on the boot sole. I was looking for it to be higher, but more defined. The tread now looks pretty worn and not very sharp. I have been masking the existing boot with tread on other items for a while now. I guess I was leaning on producing something more new and distinctive. I’ll try and search out a god reference pic to show what I mean.
Thanks for adding all these great items! Cheers!
