Alexander of LimboParticipant@ Atomic Punk – i can live with the hand thing, logistically i just couldn’t bothered =P
Anyhow i’m back with a few more, i seem to have one month on and one month off doing this but oh well lets press on, plenty more Gods to do.
Name: Maat
Gender: Female
Alliance: Goddess of Truth and Justice
Info: Maat was the ships Biomechanic, which means that she was in charge of producing and maintaining the Bio-armour on the ship. She was also Thoth’s understudy helping him in cases when Ra needed judgement passed on another God. In this she helped as a judge, jury and scribe. Later she would spread her wings and pass judgement without the need of Thoth, with his blessing.
Maat used her Biomechanics and placed all of her knowledge of Judgement onto a “feather” which was in fact a memory drive. This was taken by one of her biomechanic research projects: Babi, and given to Anubis so that he could better judge the souls of the dead in Duat. What no one but Maat knew was that it also held a code which could activate her secret creation: Wings. New Biomechanic wings which would be a great advantage to Horus in his battle against Seth. To get the code he must use his contact, Wepwawet, and travel to the Underworld.September 15, 2013 at 1:43 am #31630

Alexander of LimboParticipantName: Aken
aka Aken the Ferryman
Gender: Male
Alliance: Ferryman of Meseket
Info: Aken was a young human when Ra chose him to be the ferryman to the ship Meseket. Meseket is the only link to the underworld Duat. As a young man he took the position given to him by the Gods with honor, however as he aged he became bitter. The Gods could grant him eternal life but could not share their eternal youth. Eventually he would decompose down to nothing but skeleton, and take on the name of Death the Grim Reaper. Not the first or only to bare this title. At some point Aken received a Biohelm, fashioned into that of a Ram. It is like this that he appeared to Horus, as Horus’ journey into the Duat began.

The Atomic PunkParticipantOh! That is amazing as to Egyptian mythos and smart transitions Loving all of these interpretations and choices.

Alexander of LimboParticipantName: Babi
Gender: Male
Alliance: God of virility of the dead, Hez-ur the Great White One, Bull of the baboons, Alpha male of all baboons
Info: Babi was Biotech “evolved”. What was a biohelm evolved into an actual organism due to an extraterrestrial computer virus. Being a Biomechanic Maat studied Babi for a time, before Babi ran off with the feather to the Underworld. Here he served much like Ammit as a devourer of damned souls.Often he would help on the Meseket with Aken the Ferryman and it was here that he first met Horus. Once the two reached Duat Babi grabbed Horus by the hand and guided him to a familiar face.

Alexander of LimboParticipantName: Osiris (returned)
Gender: Male
Alliance: God of the afterlife
Info: Babi took Horus to his father Osiris, who had returned to life (to some degree). Osiris entered the afterlife after Seth killed him, but can only live in Duat. Osiris has become harder, more harsh and had lost much of the kindness that eventually got him killed; but when he finally laid eyes on his son a smile and tears came to his face. Osiris informed Horus that the great snake Apep, whom Ra and Seth once killed, has come to Duat and has caused a war between Osiris and Anubis by whispering lies in his ears.If Horus is to get the underworlds alliance he must get it united first!

Alexander of LimboParticipantSwarms of them… like a plague of locusts or something…

Alexander of LimboParticipantName: Apep
Gender: Male
Alliance: Enemy of Ra, Serpent from the Nile, Evil Lizard
Info: Apep was another prisoner on the ship that brought the Gods to earth. A viscous and clever snake said to be miles long. Seth was seen as a competitor to Apep, and Apep wanted to be the only ‘Evil’ God, so he bit Seth, poisoning him. Ra and Apep had been at war for years by this point, so Seth allied himself with Ra until such a time as his slow poison could be cured and Apep was killed. Seth sought out two Gods to purify him of the poison: Serket (Goddess of healing poisonous stings and bites) who refused to heal Seth due to his evil ways; and Meretseger (She who loves the Silence) a healer to those who repent. Meretseger was forced by Seth to heal him.Ra and Seth battled Apep in the mountains known as Bakhu, where Ra had bio-locked him. During the ensuing battle many of the Gods accompanying Ra and Seth were eaten, crushed and killed; even Ra was swallowed at some times, but he always cut himself free. In the end the Goddess Bastet, a daughter of Ra, slew Apep.
However now Apep was in Duat and causing discordance. In order for Horus to unite the underworld he would first need to slay Apep, and to do that he sought out the one who killed Apep before: Bastet.

Mad JackParticipantHmm, now I’m wondering what would happen to somenone who’s killed in the afterlife?
October 3, 2013 at 5:49 am #32433
Alexander of LimboParticipantDuat is just an afterlife that these ‘Gods’ built, in reality it’s more like an artificial limbo, where they are judged before being sent to Earths real afterlife. The creatures that ‘eat’ and ‘kill’ the souls coming through are really just sending them to the real afterlife.
I had to think about that for a second

Alexander of LimboParticipantName: Bastet
Gender: female
Alliance: Goddess of cats, Lower Egypt, the sun and the moon; Lady of Flame and Eye of Ra
Info: Bastet is one of Ra‘s many children. She was the one who killed Apep the first time around. When she heard that Apep had returned she and her sister Serket headed to the underworld to aid Horus in his fight, and finish what they had started.October 5, 2013 at 12:42 pm #32535
JR19759KeymasterFurry nice. I’d almost go as far as to say she is purrfect. (I’ll go now.)
