SulemanParticipantNeat! You really explore this concept well. I also respect the different bodytypes you’re using.

TrekkieParticipantBasically what Suleman said. I always appreciate variations in body types, especially for female characters.

Whipped up a cute quadguy, turns out most of this species doesn’t dress like they’re insane, but they do prefer less clothes over more in their home environments.February 21, 2014 at 9:55 pm #2378
agatharightsParticipantMade for the current Heromachine Contest. The little octopus-alien has a doctorate in Anthropology and is studying Humans! She wears the transport-suit in an effort to make humans feel more comfortable around her. It has…uh…mixed results.

Herr DParticipant!@#$%^& She’ll probably publish before I do, TOO! Ah, well, is she friendly? She looks nice . . .

agatharightsParticipantI don’t know how to summarize this story so suffice to say it ended up with us planning to make a DnD character who was a “Half-orc Cowgirl Princess”

Mad JackParticipantShe looks a little like a greenhorn for a cowgirl, but very nice. Well done!

Nice indeed. –by human standards, a princess should usually be a greenhorn cowgirl. Are you blinging her hat and vest or declaring that her orc side favors the royalty be more leathery and less blingy?
February 23, 2014 at 10:08 am #38064
agatharightsParticipantI’m probably gonna glitz her up a bit. I’m debating on how to do the Princess aspect, or if that should be a hidden trait. I believe the orc side of her heritage is where the Princess comes from? Not sure yet, gonna experiment with her for now.

SulemanParticipantNeat! The freckles are a nice touch. What I would consider adding (besides the glitz) is also a bit of grime. The colors are pretty bright for the wild west. Could be just me, though. Depending on the tone and the setting, they can be perfectly fine.

agatharightsParticipantFeelin’ a bit burned out after a rough day, so I was fiddling with making some fanart of Mad Jack’s alien species, the Croa (which are absolutely gorgeous and in the running for the current Heromachine Contest on the blog) and ppblt it’s been a fun exercise! I tend to make things very simple and kind of bright, and colorful, so I dunno. She’s turned out a bit too cute. She? He? I’m not really sure, don’t know the Croa’s gender dimorphism, but I used a spare base for one of my own four-armed aliens.

I’m not really sure, don’t know the Croa’s gender dimorphismWell, since they are shapeshifters it’s very hard to tell them apart most of the time, but as in almost every reptilian species the female Croa are generally much stronger and bigger/bulkier than the males but also more sluggish – when not shapeshifted they aren’t real beauties but they make that up with brains and establishing the ruling elite in a matriarchy. While the males are more “flamboyant”, the women are simpler in their attire, have a darker skintone, no tail, a bigger mouth and more carnassials, but fewer “hair” (or whatever you want to call those tentacles on their heads). I also think that they really don’t need breasts since they aren’t mammals…

agatharightsParticipantI couldn’t resist, I’m a sucker for lizard ladies. nice, though! I like it- I love worldbuilding like that.

agatharightsParticipantThis was a ton of fun but man I need to stop tinkering with it so i can actually get around to making more of my own lizardladies!
More pictures as well as some slightly NSFW commentary over on my blog.

agatharightsParticipantThings have been a little hectic lately, but I have some WIPs I’m not sure how to finish one. One weird monkey-lion-thing and two ideas for lizard ladies that aren’t shaping up.
I really like the hips and thighs on that last one. Gotta find a good way to salvage those. -
