In the late 2060’s, it will become evident to a few that the dealings of a shadowy company known as the Sphinx Foundation are in reality preparations for the capture and control of the United States. Because of this intelligence, a group of five superhumans formed a clandestine group called the Underground, dedicated to undermining and sabotaging the efforts of Sphinx.
In a one of the Sphinx Foundation’s labs, an experiment was performed to attempt to give awareness to a small glob of dark matter. The experiment was a success, but the newly living mass easily escaped and floated off into the world. It found and soon became obsessed with a teenager named Lilly. An angsty, hormonal, bored young lady, she was annoyed immediately by the living blob of blackness that hovered over her shoulder constantly. But she soon learned that this mass was also completely at her bidding, and its power was almost limitless. She joined the Underground as Dusk, at the helm of an almost incomprehensible force.
