It's been rough in South Carolina with all the flooding and whatnot.  I won't have any Forgotten Freshness for awhile. Just wanted to let you guys know. I'm still alive though! Thoughts and prayers to the families from SC that have lost everything would be cool. Much love to you guys and gals!

On October 3, 1931 the comic strip Dick Tracy first appeared in the New York News.

Your challenge this week is to come up with a unique detective character.

 There is no poll. The winner is chosen by me. But this week there is a prize (such as it is): The winning detective will get an arch enemy designed by yours truly.

You only get one entry so be creative, and above all else, have fun!

All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine forums,ImageShack, PhotoBucket, or whatever);

• Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
• The image must be new and designed specifically for the Pop Quiz;
• No copyrighted characters please – they will be deleted.
• Please name your filesas [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you upload it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.

Keric used some lovely colours and interesting shapes to create this fall landscape.

Six entries this week, and some amazing work.

First...Stagebat: cool outfit, love the dude checking her out, and the fact that she is in black and white given the challenge is brilliant. Barefoot? Not so sure.

Next is Dreadyacht...good job and the boots are a nice touch.

Geno...I love the print, and the fact that she is actually "walking down the street.

Cliff...the attention to detail is beautiful; hat, pearls, matching gloves/bag/shoes ...love it!

Brons gave us a hip young gal and a great colour combo.

...and Blunt Object provided a great tribute to Jackie O. (K at the time, I think). The glasses are genius!

Yep, I am afraid I need to take another week off from HeroMachine. I Just got hired at a new Job and between Two 12 hour classes I need to take to get my SORA ( Security Officer Registration Act ) License and my  work schedule I will not have a minute to myself all next week. Once the dust settles I will be working roughly the same hours as I was before, but this first week is going to be exhausting
