Poll Position: Greatest Live Action Superhero TV Show Of All Time

So, last weeks poll is now closed, and as usual, you can see the Top 10 from that poll on Tuesday.

Now, this week we're moving away from the big screen and onto the TV. Specifically, we're looking at superhero's on TV. We're only doing Live Action this week (Vote Flash), cartoons is for another time (Vote Flash), but that doesn't mean we're skimping out of quality (Vote Flash). As usual, I've given you 10 options to start with (Vote Flash) and you can add options that I've missed out (Vote Flash). If you can specify when the series started (Vote Flash) and its end date (Vote Flash) when you add something to the poll (Vote Flash), that would be appreciated (Vote Flash).  Other than that, I don't think there's anything else to say (Vote Flash), so I'll just leave it with you guys (Vote Flash)

And the results are quite surprising. People you won't see on this list include Princess Leia, C-3PO, The Emperor or Kylo Ren. Even Yoda didn't make the top 10. So without further ado, let's jump in and see who you guys voted as the greatest character in Star Wars.

The List: 10 Things Marvel Should Do To Make Another MCU Hulk Film

So, the big green guy hasn't had the best career on the big screen has he. The 2003 film was, let's be charitable and say not good, and the MCU reboot of the character has been pretty solid so far, if you ignore the fact that his solo movie had a completely different lead actor to the guy who is playing Hulk now and the film is pretty much forgotten otherwise. However, it is unlikely that there won't be another Hulk film at some point, the character is too popular and everyone is pretty much in agreement that Mark Ruffalo is a perfect fit for Bruce Banner, so how should they do it? Well, here are a few ideas. I'm not going to try to write the whole movie this time, I've just got the outlines of two ways it could go.

Hey, I Remember That! Rewatching Digimon: Digital Monsters

We all remember the TV shows we watched and loved as kids. As adults we grumble about the ‘quality of kids’ shows these days’, but what about the ones we remember so fondly?  They may hold a place in our hearts and in our nostalgias, but what happens when you re-watch some of those shows now? Well, thanks to DVD release and streaming options like Netflix, this task is simpler than ever. So, with that in mind, I thought I would go back and look at some of these and give my thoughts on how they’ve aged, or at least how they fare through adult eyes. So first up is the one that we’ve actually been watching a lot of lately, Digimon: Digital Monsters (or Digimon Adventure). I’m talking only about Season/Series 1 here, because that’s the one I remember watching. To be fair, it’s a season of 54 episodes, so there’s plenty to talk about.

The List: Top 10 Stan Lee Marvel Movie Cameos

We all know who Stan Lee is right? He's that guy who is executive producer for pretty much all Marvel's movies and who can't stop inserting himself into the film with random cameos. Oh and he might have written some comics once.

But considering his fame as a Marvel Movie Where's Waldo, we might as well take some time to count down his greatest achievements in the realm of the silver screen. Here's my list of Stan Lee's top 10 greatest cinematic performances.... or just the best cameos he makes in Marvel movies. The first one sounds better though.

How they should write: A DCEU Batman Solo Film

Ok guys, going to try something new today.

Ever since it was announced that the follow up to Man Of Steel would feature Batman, people have been wanting to see another solo film for the caped crusader. The character has now appeared in 2 out of the 3 DCEU films so far and is set to appear in a third when Justice League hits the screens next year. That means that, at that point, all of DC's trinity (Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman) will have appeared in 3 films each, but Batman will have been the only one to have not had a solo film. Obviously that will change, Batman is too marketable, and there's apparently already plans for a solo Batman film featuring Deathstroke as the main bad guy. But considering how well received the DCEU has been so far, this could be a very important film for Warner Bros. If Wonder Woman and Justice League aren't well received, a Batman film could be the last shot for the DCEU, considering that Batman films always do very well at the box office and the fact that Ben Affleck has so far been the most universally praised aspect of the DCEU meaning it has the best shot at revitalising the franchise if the next two films don't go down well.

So how should they write it? What story should they go with? Well, here's my take. It's most likely not going to be anything like what they do, but I feel this would be the best way to do it.

Summer Movie Round Up!

Ah, September. Kids are back to school, it’s cooler in the mornings, and people like myself are already three months into Halloween planning. But now is that time that people also look back and reflect on the summer movie run for the year. So let’s take a look at a sample of what this year had to offer from May-August. Now, my list is a bit short, and will be missing some obvious entries. We live pretty far from the closest theater so we don’t get a chance to see everything. So here’s what we have, in order of release (and spoiler-free!):

The List: 5 Things The Star Wars Prequels Did Right

We all know the Star Wars Prequels. Three of the best films ever made, with excellent dialogue, a fantastic dynamic between it two romantic leads and no-one has anything bad to say about them. Well, that would be the case if we lived in Bizarro world, but unfortunately we don't, so what we instead got was a confused mess with an awfully wooden lead, stereotypical and racist characters that annoyed everyone and midiclorians. But that's not to say the films were all bad, all three films had definite good parts. And I've managed to cobble together a list out of them. I'm only doing 5 this time, because a lot of the good bits I've found can fit under certain banners, so rather than stretching the list out to make 10 or so, let's just go with 5.

Warning: Opinions ahead. Don't let them get you angry, anger leads to the dark side.

Editorial: Is The DC Expanded Universe Failing?

Unless you've had your head situated firmly under a rock for the last year you will no doubt be aware of the DC Expanded Universe (or DCEU for short). It is a cinematic universe based around superhero movies featuring the heroes and villains of Detective Comics. You will also be aware that it has some major problems. Critical mauling's, lower than expected box office returns and production strife have all been noticeably prevalent. But has the expanded universe failed?
