Super Bowl Trailers!

So my Facebook and Twitter feeds tell me that there was some manner of large sporting event this past weekend.

I kid, of course. But, as far as the Super Bowl goes, this is kind of my attitude toward it:

So with that being said, let’s have a look at all the goodies we got this year!

The List: Top 10 Doctor Who Episodes Since 2005

So, as we don't have a poll to work from for this weeks list it looks like we're back to random JR's opinions based lists, which is fun. So, Doctor Who. A television institution since the 60's, al-be-it with a break in the late 90's/ early 2000's, the show has seen its popularity sky rocket since it was re-launched in 2005, to heights possibly even greater than its peak in the 70's. Adopting an episodic approach, as opposed to the serialised format used during the original run, the show has managed to craft some truly fantastic stories within 45 minutes (or 90 minutes in the case of two-part episodes). But which is the best episode? Well, might as well right? Of course, these are just my opinions, if you have your own, good for you. One ground rule before we get started, I'm counting two-parters as a single episode, as it's just a single story stretched out over a longer period of time.

First, honourable mentions. I've got enough honourable mentions to make this a top 20 list, but it already takes me long enough to write these when they're 10's and I'm not feeling great at the moment, so I'm just gonna chuck them all in as Honourable Mentions. So yeah: The Empty Child/ The Doctor Dances (S1E9/10), Rise Of The Cybermen/ The Age Of Steel (S2E5/6), The Impossible Planet/ The Satan Pit (S2E8/9), Partners In Crime (S4E1), The Stolen Earth/ Journey's End (S4E12/13), The Time Of Angels/ Flesh And Stone (S5E4/5), The Rebel Flesh/ The Almost People (S6E5/6), A Good Man Goes To War (S6E7), Hide (S7E9), The Day Of The Doctor (50th Anniversary Special)

The List: Ranking The Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies From Worst To Best

Well, the poll for this list threw up some very interesting and surprising results

Anyway, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been going strong for 8 years now and has released a grand total of 14 films, with a further 3 to be released this year. Over those 8 years, Marvel have only failed to release a single movie in one year (2009) and are currently doing a turn around of 2 movies a year on average, to at the very worst moderate critical acclaim and huge financial reward, turning some of their second string characters (like Iron Man and Loki) into household names in the process. However, as with everything in life, the MCU isn't perfect. Whilst the MCU as a whole is of undeniable quality, some films are better than others. So this week, with the help of your votes, we have our list of the MCU films ranked worst to best.

The List: Another Top 10 Characters I’d Like To See In The DCEU

So, as promised last week, when I did Another Top 10 Characters I'd Like To See In The MCU, this week I'm focusing on the DCEU and characters I didn't mention the last time I did a list about who I'd like to see in the DCEU (so no Martian Manhunter, Nightwing, Batgirl or Ocean Master on this list). Problem is, the DCEU is so much harder to do than the MCU, because whilst Marvel have lots of established franchises at this point and TV shows that tie into the cinematic universe, DC only really has the Justice League characters and Suicide Squad whilst keeping their Films and TV Shows completely separate (and there's that whole aversion to origin stories thing they have). So I'm not going to suggest anything for TV because, honestly, keep the Arrowverse as far away from the DCEU as possible please. With that in mind, here are another 10 characters I'd like to see in the DCEU.

2016 Movie Retrospective

Hey everyone, it’s that time of the year again where we look back on the movies of the previous year. I didn’t have enough to do a Top 10 of both Best and Worst, so it’s all being lumped together into one mega-list. So, without further ado, let’s see how we did, starting with the worst and working our way up to the best. There's a lot to talk about, so we won't be getting into spoilers either. Let's begin!
