Character Design Challenge #322 – The International Legion for Justice: Phase 6.

Major Patriot became aware of Vasily Kuznetsov in late 1942. Born in the Russian town of Uzlovaya to a chemist father and physicist mother, Vasily’s mutation was hidden by his family who feared for his safety. Vasily could sprout gold metallic wings at will and fly at astounding speeds. In 1943 he was recruited by Major Patriot into the ILJ at the age of 16 and adopted the moniker Imperial Eagle

Your challenge this week is to design Imperial Eagle’s ILJ uniform.

Character Design Challenge #318 – Classic With A Twist – Results

The winner of this week's CDC is James Knight.

The approach taken to the body was restrained and thoughtful with just enough detail to be effective, while the facial expression is brilliantly composed.

Please join me in congratulating James on the win.

Well done you!

Character Design Challenge #318 – Classic With A Twist

Classic With A Twist challenges are fairly straightforward. Basically you are charged with taking a traditional character and introducing a new and original take on them.

Your challenge this week is to take Frankenstein’s monster and add your own original twist. Perhaps your version has a steampunk vibe, or maybe your monster is re-imagined as part human, part animal. It’s up to you, so just have fun with it. There is no limit on number of entries.

Character Design Challenge #316 – Strike A Pose – Results!

Hey ‘machiners!

First, thanks for letting me judge this week’s CDC.  It was my suggestion to have a contest on action poses to challenge you on focusing on the foundation of your pics.  I read a couple of statements on that it was more of a challenge than first thought.  Hopefully we can revisit this subject in future CDC’s with a pose theme like dance or maybe even martial arts.  Hmmmmmm…..

Some interesting entries this week with a wide variety of poses.  Now as I’m looking for the strongest pose that was entered, I am looking at anatomy, completion of body, centered weight of form and just does it makes sense what is going on without a description.  Applying all that, I have come up with my finalist….

Superman punch by kellkin

Great fluid pose that grabbed me right away.  Anatomy can be tightened up with size of hands and head adjustment, but the weight of form shows the subject going for the knock out punch to finish the fight.

Congrats kellkin!!

Keep on ‘machining, everyone!

Cheers!
