So, someone else decided to make a comeback this week and I'll bet half of you didn't realise, probably because he hasn't found his way back to the forums yet (he's probably got lost or something). Yes, DeliriousAl has (sort of) returned and the result is much as you would expect, striking visuals, intense colour combinations and madness, lots of madness. Apparently this is supposed to be a wizardfied versions of him, so all I can say is, if this was ever entered in the Creators Club, I'd give up with bothering to remove any backgrounds.

I think we can draw the safe conclusion that I am not as good at this as MadJack, but oh well. Thanks to everyone who entered this year, I know this poster is missing a few people (in particular Stulte for obvious reasons. Hope you come back to us soon dude, I'll replace this version with your version), but it's the best I could do on such short notice. Also, sorry for all the debacle with getting everyone to resubmit, but at least we got it done.
Cheers.
JR out.

Because I missed the bad puns alright.
Anyway, what I want you guys to do for this weeks challenge is to create a new race of aliens. Now the catch is you must show at least two variations of the species you create in the same picture whether those variations be male/ female, adult/ child, different classes (e.g. soldier & worker) etc. that's up to you, but you must show at least two obvious variations. How you show these variations is also up to you.
As per usual, no limits on the number of entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

As there were only 4 entries into this weeks contest, I'm not going to do an Honourable Mentions bit, because then one person just gets left out and that doesn't seem right, so let's just get on and say who the winner is.

Ok guys, feel free to call me an idiot in the comments section. I have absolutely no idea why I forgot to put COTW up last week. I'd been planning it all week and then, nothing, just completely forgot. So to make up for it, this week we'll have two weeks worth of characters. Anyway on with the show, and we'll start with what should/ would have been last weeks COTW, Axelle by Kicktar.
So, what do I like about this picture. Well, the pose is very well executed, the characters looks really relaxed and fairly natural (obviously there are a few bits here and there on the arms that don't work, but that's just the limitations of the program) and it really helps sell the perspective without being ridiculously over-complicated. Then you have the face, which is beautiful, I love the colour Kicktar went with for the eyes. Then we have the colours, the blue, magenta and yellow is a really striking combination and they look really good together. These really loud and bright colours really stand out against the natural greens and browns of the background. I've been on a bit of a Kicktar kick (no pun intended) recently and when you put out stuff of this quality, it's easy to see why.

And as this weeks COTW, well, we have this...
Guess who's back. Insert "Candruth always gets COTW" comment here. Look, it's Candruth, she is, to put it lightly, quite good at this Heromachine malarky. And besides, do you want to argue with a guy with THAT expression when he's about to draw two swords? Didn't think so.

Hopefully for good this time.
Anyway, I'm no longer accepting entries for the Creators Club Poster for this year. If you haven't got your entry to me, that's too bad. Due to the circumstances, if/ when Stulte does get back to me I'll send over any entries I have to him so we can have a proper poster for this year with everyone in it. Otherwise, I'll try to have the poster up some time next week.
Thanks for your patience and co-operation with this, the situation wasn't ideal, but oh well.
JR out.

This week, your challenge is to create your own fictional currency using heromachine. You can do coins or notes, or, if you want to go down a different route, gems and similar valuable items that are often used a currency in games, so long as you show the value of the unit of currency you are entering (you don't have to compare it to dollars or anything like that, but putting a number on a coin or note would be a good idea).
As per usual, no limits on the number of entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

Ok guys, this week I'm actually struggling to pick a top 3. I've managed to get it down to a top 5, which was hard enough, so I'll do this Jeff style and run down my top 5 from this week and then announce the winner at the end.
The pictures will be in order of Original then Redesign for each person.

Hi guys, JR here again and once again I'm hijacking the Anime Talk title from Kaldath (you guys get 2 Anime Talks in one week, what a novelty). This is because next week is the release of the second part of Digimon Adventure Tri. Now, I'm sure people might remember that I did an Anime Talk on the first part of A3 last year and I, for want of a better phrase, lost my absolute mind over it. Of course I will be reviewing (read fanspazzing all over) the second part next week, but first I thought I'd do something I've wanted to do for a while and go over the previous Digimon series. All of them.
*smiles*
