Herr D: Could be worse. We could have a reality TV star in charge.

Drinkfluid: You should call this... LEXIT.

CantDraw: Too bad I don't use toilet paper when I wipe.

And the winner is...

The List: Top 10 Robots/ Androids In Film And TV

So, the votes are in. Before we get to the list, a quick bit of admin. I've had to disqualify Legion from Mass Effect, which got onto the poll without me realising, due to the fact that Mass Effect is neither a film nor a TV series at the moment, so therefore cannot qualify for a list of the best Robots/ Androids on Film and TV. Also, nobody thought to add C-3PO? I mean, I left him off my original 10 because I already had a Star Wars character, but leaving him out of the running entirely? Really guys?

But with that out of the way, the results are in, each vote has been analysed and we can now present to you your top 10.

Poll Position: Greatest Non-American Comic Book Character

Ok guys, for this weeks poll position, we're looking at the greatest characters in comics books that were not born in America. Obviously we are not including aliens or Gods on the list (so Thor doesn't count) only human characters. We are including characters from fictional countries provided we know what continent their home country is in. As per usual, I've given you 10 to start and you can add your own suggestions. If you do add a suggestion please include the characters country of birth and if you suggestion is from a fictional country please also include the continent.

What Were They Thinking: An Immaculate Concept(ion)

When a comic series reaches a milestone with doubles zeros at the end, it's time for a celebration. They'll go big on a storyline, push the boat out. For example, when The Amazing Spider-Man hit its 200th issue, Marvel had him confront the man who killed his Uncle Ben, a big storyline right, one that makes thematic sense for a big occasion. Likewise, when The Uncanny X-Men hit the same milestone, Magneto was put on trial for terrorism. The teams greatest enemy could have finally been dealt justice, huge. And what did the Avengers do to celebrate their 200th issue? It must have been something incredible right? Well, let me give you a hint. You are currently reading What Were They Thinking, the series where we take a look at the stupidest, most ill-advised things in the history of the comic book industry. How do you think it turned out?

The List: Top 10 Pokemon I’m Excited For In Pokemon Sun And Moon

So, the next generation of Pokémon games are to be released a week tomorrow and obviously I was going to do something on them right? I mean, I did for the last 2 pairs of games in the series, so why break a habit. But as this generation isn't introducing too many new mechanics or a new typing, unlike X&Y, (Z-moves are pretty much the only thing), I'm just going to focus on the new Pokémon that are coming with the new games. But obviously I can't cover all of them because that would be too much, so instead I'm just gonna do a list, again why break a habit. So here are the top 10 Pokémon I'm most excited for in Sun and Moon.  NOTE: I'm not including the Ultra-Beasts as it's not confirmed whether they are actually Pokémon or not at time of writing.

Oh and OBVIOUS SPOILER WARNING IS BLATENTLY OBVIOUS!!!!

The List: Top 10 Greatest Alien Races In Fiction

What is "Greatness"? Well, when talking about Popular Culture, you have to judge it on the impact the subject in question has had on our collective mind-set. When you look at the Greatest Musical Artists of All Time, you are more than likely going to see Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Michael Jackson on the list. Likewise with films, you're going to see Casablanca, Gone With The Wind and The Godfather. Whether you like them or not, they have made a huge impression. But then you also have the subjective side to the argument, the placement. Who actually is better, Elvis or The Beatles? Yes, you could answer that by looking at stuff like sales, but you can't quantify a persons reaction to the music. And that is the key factor.

So how to select the greatest alien race in fiction? Do you, a) set out a strict list of criteria that must be met in order to qualify something that is invariably subjective? Or do you b) just let people go with their instincts? Well, we went with the later and now we have our list. Close runners up include, The Flood from the Halo franchise, the Saiyans from the Dragonball franchise, the Kryptonians of DC and the Martians from War Of The Worlds.

What (Are) They Thinking: No More Clone Conspiracies

So, as I'm sure you all know by now, here on What Were They Thinking, we take a look at the stupidest, most ill-advised things from comic book history and we make fun of their idiocy. Some of the things we cover aren't exactly the most comfortable of subjects but they get covered because of the ridiculousness of it all. I usually cover the stuff that when I find out about it makes me laugh and say "I can't believe they actually did that!" And I do that because I love comics, I love the characters and I love the stories.

However, this week we are covering something that I am legitimately angry about. And of course it would be something Marvel have done because gosh darn it aren't they the absolute best at being the worst sometimes. So, buckle up ladies and gentlemen, JR is about to go off on a rant about the current Spider-Man crossover, Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy.

Poll Position: Greatest Robots/ Androids In Film And TV

Robots have long been a staple of Science Fiction, even back at the dawn of the genre when Isaac Asimov coined the term from the Slavic word for worker. They've become somewhat of a cliché, either naively misunderstanding human emotions or trying to keep us safe by enslaving all of humanity. And of course, nowhere is their presence more noticeable than on the screen, be it big or small. But which robot is the best? That's our question for the week. As per usual, I've provided 10 examples to start you off and you can add your own suggestions. Please bear in mind that we are only looking at robots (so fully mechanical automatons created by an organic race for a specific task) or androids (full mechanical automatons given a human like external skin to better blend in with living beings), rather than cyborgs (living beings with mechanical prostheses).
