The List: Another Top 10 Characters I’d Like To See In The MCU

So, when I started doing lists last year, the first list I did was a list of the top 10 characters I'd like to see in the MCU or Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, obviously Marvel have a lot of characters that are worthy of bringing to life and one list was never going to be enough to cover it, especially when the first list only looked at characters I'd like to see in the MCU films, not in MCU TV shows or Netflix series. So, to kick off the new year, lets take a look at another 10 characters I'd like to see in the MCU, both Film and TV.

Creators Club Poster 2017 Volunteers?

Hey guys, JR here. As with last year, I'm now looking for someone to do this years Creators Club Poster.

For those of you who aren’t in the know, the Creators Club poster is a community project where one of the members of the community (previously myself, MadJack, Atomic Punk and Hammerknight) have come up with a theme for everyone to follow ( previously we've had stuff like Superheroes, Men In Black, Chibi’s and Westerns, with last years theme being Magic), and then people create a self-portrait of themselves fitting to that theme. All of the self-portraits are then sent to the organiser, who then puts them all together in one big poster that showcases the community that year. It’s not a challenge, it’s just a bit of fun, you don’t have to be a Power User to participate, you just have to use the site and follow the submission rules for the poster.

Now, obviously, we're trying to get new people to do these each year, so if you would like to volunteer and you have an idea for a theme, email it to me at the usual address (it's in my About section at the bottom of the post). I'm only accepting theme ideas from people who email, not from the comments, so if you have an idea make sure you email it.

I'm accepting theme ideas from today until the Jan 17th, so that's 2 weeks, and submissions for the poster should open on Feb 1st provided myself and the organiser have everything arranged.

The Christmas List: Ranking The Doctor Who Christmas Specials From Worst To Best

So, since 2005, each year the BBC has produced a special Christmas edition of the longest running science-fiction television series. Usually full of snow that isn't snow, Christmas themed enemies such as snowmen and robot Santa's, they are (as with the show its self) usually of very high quality and worth watching. But which episodes are must see and which should you only watch if you are a show completionist? Well, this week I'm going to rank all 12 Christmas episodes from my least favourite to my favourite.

Warning: Opinions below. You have been warned.

What Were They Thinking- The Christmas Special: GLX-Mas

Usually here on What Were They Thinking we look at the stupidest, most ill-advised things ever in the history of the comics industry. However, as today is the Christmas Special, we're going to change things up a bit. We're still going to look at something completely mental, something that still fulfils our quota of strange and stupid and full of What The...? moments, but something that cannot and should not ever be described as something bad. Ladies, Gentlemen and assorted alien life-forms, I present to you 2005's GLX-Mas featuring the Great Lakes Avengers.

The List: Top 10 Storylines From Comics I’d Like To See In Movies

As the superhero film genre grows larger and larger, with more films being put out each year, more characters being introduced to set up new films, the pressure to come up with new, interesting storylines increases. However, there is one good thing about working with comic book characters. They already have great stories from their original medium. Since the comic book movie boom really started back in 2000 we've seen adaptations of Spider-Man No More, Wolverine's Origins, The Galactus Saga, Knightfall, Extremis, Days Of Future Past, Civil War, The Age Of Apocalypse and The Death of Superman, all to varying degrees of success. But there are still classics from Marvel and DC's long histories that, If Done Right (Warner Bros. and Disney, but mostly Warner Bros.!), could make for excellent movies and perfect additions to their cinematic universes. So here are my 10 storylines I'd like to see make it from the comics to the big screen (in no particular order)

The List: Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2017

As I said in the introduction to the poll, next year is looking to be a good year for films. We have the latest additions to the MCU, we get to see the culmination of everything Warner Bros. have been trying (all-be-it shoddily) to build with the DCEU, we have a possible return to form for the X-Men franchise after last years... well I would say Apocalyptically bad film for the joke but it wasn't that bad (close though, but not quite that bad) and the next instalments in some beloved sci-fi series, such as Star Wars and Planet of the Apes. So which film are you guys the most excited about? Well, you voted, so here's the results.
