MyroParticipantHere, we'll stick Fluke in as a placeholder, just in case.

MyroParticipantWell, things are starting to look a bit more permanent here, so I'm going to start my new project for the new forum.
Â
Working on trying to visualize the characters for an urban fantasy I was writing a few years back, and I kind of want to start up again. Â I need to find my notes though, otherwise I'm starting over more or less from scratch.
Â
This is Griffen Morris, the only character whose name I remember from my list. Â This was my entry on Ugo:
Griffen's a former Navy brat, whose dad got stationed in San Diego during his high school years. Having finally gained up a little stability, Griffen managed to establish himself as a star linebacker, and eventually went to Arizona State. An injury in his senior year kept him from getting drafted, but he managed to have a short career as an NFL special teams player, before taking a more serious injury during an attack early in the story.

MyroParticipantams gave me some advice on making my picture of Griffen a bit more dramatically interesting by flaring his coat, so I'm sticking the new version up.

Kaylin88100ParticipantI like the second version of Griffen much better, MyroÂ
He's a cool character as wellÂ
Fluke is slightly scaryÂ

MyroParticipantThanks Kaylin. Fluke’s actually not a bad guy, he’s my main hero in a RPG campaign my friends and I run. Admittedly, he has done some scary things in the past, and this picture was inspired by one of his early, fairly emotional exploits.
I will be putting up my older HeroMachine pictures up here at some point (including Fluke), but I’m still trying to track down my notes on my current.t project, while tinkering with some of the characters. I also have an idea for the Lust contest that involves Fluke and another character of mine, Succubus.February 24, 2012 at 1:53 pm #1889
amsParticipantHey Myro,
Â
Permission to make a pic with Fluke? It's an interesting character and would love to get a shot at “heromachine'ng” him. Do you have a colored full body pic of him? Bio for backgroung info. Let me know.
Â
Cheers!

MyroParticipantams, yeah, if you want to, I’d be interested to see what you come up with. I have a bio for him, plus HM2 and HM3 (basic pose) pictures on my “Things I Do When I Don’t Sleep” gallery at Ugo to get you started (page 1).
PM me if you have any more questions.February 25, 2012 at 9:54 pm #1910
amsParticipantHere you go Myro. Â Let me know what you think. Â And be honest, if you don’t like something, I always willing to change it.
Â
 Cheers!

MyroParticipantDude, that is sweet. Â Let's consider this the “All-Star” or “Ultimates universe” version of Fluke. Â The shamrock mask and the armored padding on the joints is a really nice touch.
February 26, 2012 at 6:26 am #1912
amsParticipantGlad you like it. I figured he would need the padding and more durable uniform with all the jumping he does. The pose is got a sort of “Top of the morning to ya…” feel I was looking for.
Â
Do you have any objection to me posting this pic in the old forum and the facebook site? I'll be sure to Identify him as “Fluke by Myro”. Let me know…
Â
Cheers!

MyroParticipantYeah, that's cool. Â I have no problem with it.

MyroParticipantAs I previously promised, my Lust entry featuring Fluke and Succubus.
Â
Also, having no luck finding my notes, so I will probably have to start from the beginning. I do have my second character almost ready to go.
March 2, 2012 at 1:36 pm #1074
MyroParticipantOkay, back to my urban fantasy characters.
Â
From my original Ugo entry:
This is Marshall Rutledge. Marshall's a former computer science student at UCSD that ended up dropping out after programming a series of apps that ended up making him millions. At some point in the story, Marshall starts learning magic, and starts programming his spellbook onto an e-reader/tablet (given what I have to work with on HM3, it looks like an iPad). Marshall tends to be somewhat intellectually arrogant and comes off as a bit obnoxious at times.
Â
Marshall's up on OCD today, so there's a chance I could end up revising him.

MyroParticipantMarshall 1.1 up. Jeff mentioned that it wasn’t readily apparent that the black flame was emerging from Marshall’s hand, so I put up a bit of a glow effect behind it, and the drop shadow of his arm below. Hopefully this is a little clearer.
Been a while since I posted in TIDWIDS, but I’ve got the third character about ready to go.

MyroParticipantNext character from my group is Tracy Kwong. An outcast growing up, Tracy was diagnosed having an altered reality disorder, and as been receiving therapy for it, even having been institutionalized for a while.
It turns out the reality is that Tracy’s altered reality disorder is actually caused by Tracy’s natural ability to see into the shadow world. While all the other characters learn to see the truth about the world after the most recent merging, Tracy had been born with the ability, and haunted by it her whole life. So the scary biker she thought was a troll, the hippie shop owner of that organic vegan grocer she thought was an elf, or the street gang calling themselves The Hobgoblins that she believed to be literal hobgoblins, turns out she was right on all counts. -
