I was reminiscing about a routine I did for a while. It was a kata with two razor-sharp, mirror-plated swords. Single-edged till close to the tip, double-edged at the tip, three disks along the flat edge . . .

I’m beginning to think that those disks were rings that had been painted over too many times in too much of a hurry. This shape isn’t exactly right, and I turned the hilt prongs backwards, and the costume is a poor replica–but this is about what I saw in the reflective ceiling when I bent backward to smash the vase with my helmet. I thought the vase smash was goofy, but they swore to me it was impressive?
