Little Charlie Greene grew up the son of a butcher, watching every day as his father, the owner of a private slaughterhouse, cut bloody meat apart. Something inside the boy’s mind made him fascinated with the rending of the animal flesh, and he began to hunt small creatures in the forest near his home to do the same. Over the years, the obsession became deeper and more grandiose, and Charlie’s mind fell farther and farther into a spiral of insanity.
He started watching horror movies, and the final piece of his mind snapped. He now lives to kill, and delights in the gore and blood he creates. His parents were the first to go, then he moved on to many of the homeless in the slums of Caligo. He was apprehended and placed in the Thorne Hill Mental Institution, but he was one of the many psychotics who escaped when the supervillain Panik freed the inmates.
Charlie was abducted by the Gauntlet, a group of villains, and a microchip was surgically placed inside his head, giving the team the ability to control him. His hands were removed and replaced with two lethal chainsaws.
