These are great poses, but how do you dress them. I like to show the pose and also show an example of them dressed. Sometimes the greatest pose ends up on the chopping block because there is no way to dress them right. Using spandex parts helps sometimes.

thanks, and, yeah, spandex is what i used, and I’m actually quite proud of the finished product.

in my opinion, if you’re going to dress them in regular clothes, then there’s no point in articulating them, as the articulation is not evident.

Nice pictures, but makes you wonder where they put their weapons. True about just making standard poses just to see their outfits, but I still like to put some movement into them. We I create my characters I see them in 3d, that is why it is hard for me to make them flat sometimes.

I have been going back and looking through the archives in the old forum and when I came upon these AWESOME tutorials by SEAN DAVID ROSS on how to build articulated bodies, I thought that I would post a link to these posts. These are very helpful for posing bodies and bending them into dramatic poses. A MUST READ FOR ALL MACHINERS!!!!

    Hey Kaldath and Hammerknight,

What would be the protocal in transfering the poses and tutorials by other machiners who are no longer really participating with the program anymore? The posts by SDR that I mentioned above should be preserved for future machiners and there are other great posing entries that would be a real bummer to lose if something happened to the other forum.

    Cheers!

Iv saved a lot of the posts texts on my computer. But it would take quite a bit of time to re post them up here. And seeing as I didnt create them im not sure if its a great idea that I post them, after all I didnt create so I wouldnt want to be getting credit that isnt deserved.

I saved a lot of the Poses from the UGO forums as well. Personal opinion, I think there should be no problem with posting others’ recipes as long as the creator is properly credited. All we are doing is archiving and sharing what essentially is “public domain.”

Just wanted to put that out there for Jeff and the Moderators to consider. I will not post others’ works without their express permission or consent of the powers that be.

I will get a hold of Jeff and ask him. I’m thinking that we should get the creators okay.

Okay i talked to Jeff, We both think it would be better to ask the creators first before making the move. So try to get a hold of them and ask them if it would be okay, and then we can figure out what to do with the ones that can not be reached.

Ok the users who uploaded the most was SDR, AMS, Worf and Martain Blue I beieve. 2 or 3 of them I think can still be talked to, SDR pops up every now and then and im not sure about Worf.

Worf is still a pretty regular poster on the blog portion of HeroMachine.
