Kurt is a biology teacher at Upton Central High School, but in his off time he assumes the name and costume of Black Bison. He possesses immense strength, stamina, and durability. He is one of a very few adults who know the identities of the members of the Tomorrow Teens, a group of super-powered students who attend Upton Central. He acts as somewhat of a mentor to the team, both professionally and personally, and is doing his best to help them adapt to their new found abilities.
