He is selfish, narcissistic, and all around a complete douchebag who would only ever help people if it benefit him in some way or made him look good. Ultimatum managed to recruit Awesome into the ranks of FIEND after the organization’s first encounter with the self-centred hero by convincing him crime pays a lot more heroics, as well as that villains are “so much cooler”.
