After about 5 years in New York, Windshear was starting to show signs of instability. It was clear that her nights spent partying were have a negative effect on her ability to be a part of the Champions. A few scandals and several accusations of addiction were levelled as well. A final costume change coincided with two major scandals. In the first, photos were brought to light that showed she was involved in a relationship with a married corporate CEO (whose company sponsored the Champions). In the second, after being knocked unconscious in a battle with a super villain, cocaine was found in her possession.

She was given house arrest for 6 months. She disappeared from public life.
