Kaldath's Character Challenge #1

Well folks I have been having a challenge come up for new original topics for the poll position posts and I am going to take a break from that for the time being and give my brain a bit of a rest. Starting this week and at least for the rest of December if not longer I will be presenting one of my characters that I have made with Heromachine and challenge you all to redesign it!

The rules are simple, You have an unlimited number of entries to try and impress me with your best interpretation of my character. You until Monday December 9th at 12 Noon Eastern time to submit all your entries at which point I will pick my top 5 and name the ultimate winner of this challenge. Remember that Heromachine.com is a family friendly website so please keep that in mind while making your redesigns and keep it no worse then PG-13 in nature.

Now lets get started, Your first challenge is ......................................

Shock Girl

Shock Girl HM3

A little bit about this character. Shock Girl was originally created for one of Jeff's  Character Design Contests, which was to create an original character that would fit in The Legion Of Superheroes. So Shock Girl is an Alien from an unnamed world with the ability to generate and control electricity. She also is in possession of a Legion-style flight ring.  So there you have it, I wish you all good luck on this challenge.

Character Design Contest ♯52- Through The Ages

Ok guys, this week I want you to create an picture showing a character at more than one stage of their life (e.g. teen & adult or adult & old age). It can be a character of any genre, so superhero, western, fantasy, sic-fi etc. etc. the only proviso is no characters of species/ races that are immortal (no vampires, stuff like that). You can do short time gaps of a number of years, so long as there is a noticeable difference in the characters appearance. But don't just do costume changes, I want to see how well you can show age differences in heromachine.

No limits on entries this week, the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

Busy, busy, busy…

Due to a busier than normal production schedule, the semester coming to an end, and the holidays fast approaching, I find myself unable to resume the Costume Blog and Pop Quiz at this time. My hope is that they will return early in the new year.

Crystalline Body

I've just added the following crystalline body to Body-Male-Alternate. Female version pending. Enjoy!

Whiz Bang Item Creation Poll #1 (Headgear)

[polldaddy poll="7607525"]

The Whiz Bang Item Dispenser is back, all gassed up and with gears turning! This week's poll theme is Headgear, so put on you thinking caps and use your noggins to decide what piece will race ahead of the others!

Now's your chance to decide what artwork I will work on next. Whatever wins the vote will be completed the following week. This doesn't mean I won't work on other pieces. The winning piece will just be guaranteed my attention.

This poll will end on Wednesday, December 11th. After that I'll be posting a new poll every Wednesday with a week to vote on each new set.

As some of you know I've been creating additional pieces for HeroMachine for the past few years. I went on hiatus for awhile and now I'm back, ready to start creating on a regular basis. Thanks to Jeff's digital wizardry, the process has been streamlined and whatever I create can be placed in the program shortly after I finish the artwork. There's a good chance the chosen item will be in HeroMachine a week after it is announced as the poll winner.
