The best piece of HeroMachine art you’ve created: Panther. I can hardly get over how proud I am of this piece. The face was sculpted out of circle insignias, but it looks like one piece! Since I am allowed to brag every now and then, I amaze myself.
Favorite all-time geeky movie if any: Justice League: Doom. Also Batman, Under the Red Hood
Favorite all-time geeky book if any: LOTR, with the Inheritance Cycle in close second
Favorite all-time geeky TV show if any: Batman, the animated series; also, Gargoyles
Favorite all-time comic book character: Batman
If you could have one super-heroic power in real life, you’d choose: Flight. I know that sounds kind of cheesy, but once you’ve flown in dreams…
In your leisure time you like to: draw, Heromachine, blog, play old videogames, read.
Character design turn-ons (things you love to see that make for a good design): cohesion. The best HM illustrations are the ones whose parts flow well into one another, with no visually conflicting ideas. And originality.
Character design turn-offs (things you hate to see that make for a bad design): I don’t really have any specific pet peeves, but I dislike clutter in an image, though sometimes I do that…
Best tip for a HeroMachine newbie: be inspired. Be creative. Heromachine is here for you, not you for it. Ask questions of the HM community, and you will get more of an answer than you expected. Share YOUR ideas, and the bounties will be threefold.
Any personal message you’d like to share with the HeroMachine community about Geek Life: I’d just like to thank all you in the HM community, for the inspiration and support. And check out my blog, where I’m posting the stories for my RavenSword universe
