GeroMemberI don’t know if this problem is caused by my computer or what, but it looks as there is a part of the right side of the page missing. In fact, as I wrote this, part of my texts went “off screen” and I couldn’t see what I wrote. And changing the size of browser window doesn’t help.

WorfParticipantSomething very weird is happening with the posts above…
texts are going beyond the right margin and Dionne Jinn’s last post seems to be INSIDE the previous post…..
Â
UGH, and so is my post…

Dionne JinnMemberSomething really odd is going on now in this conversation? Somehow – I just might be wrong – I think that maybe somewhere along the line someone has forgotten the closing tag for some coding thing. Or it might be something else entirely.

AFDStudiosKeymasterMy apologies for the butchery on this thread, but I couldn't figure out any other way to figure out what was going on. I started out moving posts to another thread to test, but then just started deleting them. Ultimately removing the simple “love it!” comment by rj44 whatever it was, fixed it. It was even messing up the tool bar I see at the top of the page for administrative purposes, so it was a major deal.
Â
I'll try to dink around more and see if there was something maybe in his sig that was doing it.
Â
Again, I'm sorry for having to hack out all those posts, but I just don't know enough yet about how this works to have been more delicate 🙁

Dionne JinnMemberIt cleared the problem so your little “virtual butchering” wasn't all bad. 😉 Any idea why that message caused the mess?
February 1, 2012 at 7:49 am #1077
AFDStudiosKeymasterI'm starting to think that was a spam account since whenever I try to access his profile, it hangs the page …
February 1, 2012 at 7:52 am #1078
AFDStudiosKeymasterDionne Jinn, it was r44j … whatever the rest of his name was. I really think that was a spam bot, but it worries me because I couldn't even get into his profile to check the sig file for whatever was hosing things up. The fact that people can put in code that could hijack the site makes me very nervous.

Dionne JinnMemberDo you believe it was that message that also caused the right side of the messages to disappear? Now I don’t see that happening here anymore either. But that message messing up your admin tools too sounds real bad.
Â
EDIT TEST: Seems to be working…
February 1, 2012 at 11:16 am #1064
AFDStudiosKeymasterYes, that was definitely the cause of the right-side problem as well as the butchered nesting problem. It's weird.Â

GeneParticipantI'm having a hard time getting an Avatar picture to upload. Keeps giving me an error with no explanation. Matched the size requirements, changed to a couple different formats, nothing worked so far.
Â
Any suggestions? Hoping I just overlooked something and having a senior moment. 🙂

HammerknightParticipantI'm just using the one from Gavatar. It makes it easier because you don't have to upload it to every site you go to.

Dionne JinnMemberOne thing that I find a huge improvement is, that this forum doesn't “kick me out” every five minutes or so. It is very annoying when you read a long conversation or something like that and when you try to reply you have to sign in again every time, even if you had signed in just before starting to read. In short I'm becoming rather fond of this new forum and hope that we can keep it.

HammerknightParticipantIt has a good fell to it. Not to tight in the waist and not to long in the legs. I think it fits just right.

CKnapParticipantIs there any way too make it so we can edit past posts, it seems either after I post a new one the last post can be edited. So once I upload a new pic of a guy i cant add it in with the rest or edit a profile for a character if I want.

Are you talking like putting all your pictures of the same character in one post, just updating them as you go? If so that is a good idea. I've been on other forums where you can do that.
Â
Jeff, is there an option for more smileys, like thumbs up and the likes? I would be nice for people that don't have much time to type a reply for every post but still want to show that they like the post.
